Overall the atmosphere was really spectacular, quiet, and peaceful. The food and drinks were amazing, healthy, fresh, and spicy. Both kids and adults agreed the place was great. It did help the weather was perfect in Late May.
We came on a Saturday night with 5 adults and 6 childen ages 6-10.
We all had a great time and enjoyed it. Our primary research to find John's Table was a good place for kids, as well as, some healthy food options.
First the kids. There is a field on the propery, It's not a flat field and has a drainage ditch. We brought a jump rope, frisbees and skateboards. They had fun in the field with the extra space to play. After they explored the field they used the skateboards on the sidewalk. Then used the skateboards in the paved drainage ditch nearby and then we let them go out and use the skateboards across the street in the businesses nearby as they're closed on weekends. The kids all had a blast. I realize most people wouldn't do this but having the land and non-busy areas around is a big benefit. When we go to places in the city there is limited things for the kids and they get bored. This was not the case at John's Table.
The drinks were great. They had an awesome local selection. One adult was drinking the strawberry fizz mocktail which she loved. My wife had cider which came from Stem cider she loved. I had an awesome Amber which great as they're going extinct. Others had good beer and cocktail choices.
The food was amazing. We got bowls and sandwhiches. They had a spice that the guys overused that burned our faces off which we enjoyed. The veggies and selection was healthy and fresh. The kids liked their burgers and chicken fingers. They also came with...
Read moreI previously wrote a review and deleted it because the owner responded in an incredibly rude, hurtful way, and I was embarrassed. Now as I think of it, I am a customer who had a poor experience. The owner should be the one embarrassed for the way they replied to me. I wish I could’ve responded to them. Long story short, all of the food was horrible, the drinks were not worth it, and the owners do not know how to properly run a restaurant or how to improve their business. Instead of taking criticism and trying to better themselves for their customers, they make the ones with poor experiences have an even worse one (they seemed to have told someone a few months ago their review seemed like a “personal attack”). Cue the snarky response from them, maybe labeling this as a “personal attack” as well, even though it’s not. It’s an experience I had. They’ll say I’m not welcome back, but that overall does not phase me as I wouldn’t even THINK about coming back to this establishment.
EDIT: I had a lovely conversation with the waitress we had; she was very kind, which is why I gave service more stars. This conversation consisted of her telling me (and other members) how kind she thought we all were, and she said she loved seeing how much fun we were having in the moment. She personally told me that we were a lovely group. The “outside alcohol” was a Christmas gift. Yes, it should not have been opened, but it was PROMPTLY put away when asked and no issues from it occurred. It was also an open bar for a group of 30+ people; drinks and staff should have been accounted for...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of John’s Table in Louisville, CO, since it was the Redgarden Restaurant, and I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food is always incredible, the service is friendly, and the vibe is like being invited to your best friend's house for dinner—warm, welcoming, and full of care. Kelli and Alex, the owners, truly make this restaurant feel like home. The cocktails are also amazing—tasty, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. Happy hour is always a great time to visit, with excellent drink specials and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I’ve seen some negative reviews lately, but honestly, it’s disheartening to see how some people don’t recognize how tough it is for local small businesses right now. There was one incredibly busy night where the restaurant got inundated, and while it was a tough situation, Kelli and Alex owned up to it and took swift corrective action to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Finding and retaining good help in this market is a huge challenge, and it’s unfair to shame businesses that are doing their best. To those leaving negative reviews—would you treat your own friends and family the same way? If you’re looking for delicious food, fantastic cocktails, and want to support a local gem, John’s Table is the place to go—let’s show some understanding and continue supporting our local businesses. And if you can’t find it in your heart to do that, maybe it’s best to stay home. Cheers guys! Keep up the...
