I've been to other Samantha's restaurants and the food has been fantastic! So my hopes coming to this location were high. The food for 2 of the 3 people at our table came cold. One person's linguine with meatballs came with warm meatballs and sauce that was only BARELY warm. I had the beef and potatoes on sourdough bread with gravy. My meat was shredded, cold and didn't taste like meat at all. The gravy was brown BUT had a funky flavor that had NO resemblance to any meat flavor. I let someone else taste the gravy and they said it was gross too. When I complained and told them what was wrong, the manager was supposed to come out. They asked what else they could make for me. At that point I was helping to eat the massive portion of linguine with meatballs that someone else had gotten at our table. I told them I didn't want anything else, but they wouldn't take "no" for an answer. The manager never did come out, except to give me the new bill and all she said a sarcastic kind of "sorry" as if it was something to do with me. Our waitress was very nice & pleasant however didn't notice how cold our food was. They took the beef dish off of my bill and made me the linguine with meatballs to take home. When THAT came (I kid you not) THAT one was so hot it literally was steaming! So...the one I took home was hot, and the one I shared was cold. I would not recommend coming to...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever had. Steak was way over cooked but I could deal with that. I asked for the Kentucky Bourbon Glaze on the side because I have never tried it. When the steak came out it was smothered in the glaze as well as my asparagus, it was like a puddle on my plate. The server noticed right away that it wasn't on the side and told me to try it and she would check back. I tried it and didn't like it at all. She took my plate and said she would get me another steak. Sounds fair so far, right? This is where it gets crazy and disgusting. When she brought me a new plate it was the same steak and the same asparagus. Either her or the cook (won't call them a chef) took my steak and asparagus and I assume rinsed them off with water and put them on a new plate and brought it back out to me. I immediately noticed what they did and told her I didn't want it. I told her what they did and she questioned me until I showed her where I cut the steak to try a bite the first time and I showed her where I originally cut my asparagus in half as well. Absolutely unbelievable. I will never go back, the couple that was with us will never go back and the couple in the table beside us will never go back. Side note, the server did give us a $5 dollar coupon for our next visit...... a coupon that expires in 4 days lol. Doesn't matter, we...
Read moreOn this trip in the Louisville Ohio area, I went to Samantha's Grill on two separate visits andI completed a review for breakfast on 10/21/20 and dinner on 10/22/20. For breakfast on 10/21/21 i had the Sam's Original breakfast. Wow! Huge Excellent Breakfast with 2 eggs, Bacon, hashbrowns, and sour dough toast. Big generous portions of Bacon (4 pieces) and hashbrowns. The price was comparable to other restaurants in the area but I think it's a better value though because of the amount of food you get. Service was exceptional. My server, Sara, was terriffic. Very cordial and friendly. She was very efficient and checked back with me regularly to assure complete satisfaction. I highly recommend Samantha's Grill for breakfast.
We went back to Samantha's for dinner on 10/22/20. The menu had a wide variety of items to choose. The also had a daily special menu as well. I had the perogi bowl with grilled chicken and onions covered with Alfredo Sauce. Delicious! My wife had a huge Chicken Cobb Salad and our friend had "the snazzy BLT w/hand cut fries. All were big portions and very tasty. Service was again excellent. Our server Lisa did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Samantha's Grill for...
