This is the second time that we have experienced such poor service. We usually stop at a White Castles as soon as we get into town as we live in NE Tennessee, a good five hour drive. This White Castles is the closest to my sister's house so it's where we stop. Sad to say that the evening crew is mismanaged, as there is no reason why it should take an half-hour in Drive-thru. This has happened twice upon us coming into town and what they're doing is taking two car orders at a time then when the third car gets to the order box then they tell you they'll be right back. That is five to ten minutes later... I kid you not. I'm not sure if they're waiting to see how many will pull out of line or if they're just that unorganized. After they fill the first two cars order then they proceed to take two more cars order and there again the third car is told that they'll be back with them in a minute... Yeah Right, more like five to ten minutes. So, I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they're understaffed. Nope, they had more than half a dozen employees inside and some were just standing around. Remember, I had said that the lobby was dead. There is NO REASON, especially in Drive-thru that any car should wait half-hour to place their order and to get their order. Me and my family use to have a tradition that every time we come into town we have to stop and get White Castles. Sorry to say that due to the lack of management and organization of this one our tradition will be no more... As we refuse to sit in line for half-hour anymore as that is not only ridiculous it's...
Read moreWe ordered ahead as we were in a hurry. Nothing special, 2 each of 3 burgers. Order was to be ready in 20 min. We arrived about 2-3 min after the order was supposed to be ready. No customers in the store or at the counter. I stood there with my daughter for 15 min. No one said anything to me. They avoided eye contact. 5 workers present plus one outside on break. After 15 min, I called out to the person working the drive through and informed him that only needed to pickup a prepaid order that was supposed to be ready 15 min ago. They checked and handed me a bag. Not my order. They checked again, then started arguing with each other about why this wasn't ready. The person previously working the grill was blamed. They start working on the order. 10 min go by. I was told that they were sorry, but they didn't know where their manager was? Twice they handed me bags with some portion of the order, but never any combination that added up to the order. They were arguing with each other the entire time. At one point it was blamed on the two workers that didn't speak English. I finally received the order a full 35 min after it was supposed to be ready for pickup. This point there were two families in line to order and one person from the drive through that had come inside because the order they received was missing parts. I wished everyone luck. Nobody even came on speaker until after the second time we said "hello", a while after waiting for them to say something. A line of 6 cars built up behind us, 3 cars left, and 1 got out of line to go inside to order. Asked for ketcup while ordering and at window. When finally handed the food, we asked the cashier if the ketcup was in bag and was told yes. I double checked. Of course ,no ketcup. When I spoke to manager she was nodding her head yes as I complained and said "I understand" REALLY????!!!!! Not even an apology or soda on the house. Also, let it be known not to use your debit card there. Used it there for the last time a little over a year ago and my bank called to verify all transactions from that date. They said this location is red flagged for unauthorized use of debit/credit cards used there. I've never had a bank call to verify purchases before unless I was using in another state.
