Stopped in for lunch and the entire staff was under the age of 19. Im guessing the bar tender was 18 and a week. The food was very expensive and they charged me $7 for a shot of jim beam and $2.30 to pay with a debit card. The food was cold and they left off the bacon from our birds nest burger and didnt give us the side that was supposed to come with the hot beef sandwich. You can't have bad service, cold food and a waitstaff that is border line legal, and charge the prices you have. I will not be visiting again. Im a local and this is not the first bad experience we have had, Its just the last. We would love to let the management know about their mishaps, but there is no one to talk to. Deelicious!!! Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere, and daily specials. Our bread stick appetizers were piping hot with a big bowl of marina. We ordered the enchilada Wednesday daily special for $10 and it was a huge plate with 4 beef enchiladas covered in cheese and salad. I have been here a few times. it is located just a few hundred feet of of Hwy 30, so it is rather convenient if you're traveling by Lowden Iowa. The Rail yard is a nice size bar / restaurant, most but not all the food is fried in some way. They do have a BLT and Pizzas. They do have a small fee for using cards to pay, so I try to have cash when I go there. the eating area is very open and well lite with plenty of natural light coming through all the windows.
