Good Thymes does not take reservations, even for larger groups. Don't go there with more than four.
My family went there last evening, a group of seven. We called ahead to see if they took reservations, and they explained they didn't. I told them we had our 90 & 86 yo parents with us, and they explained again they don't take reservations. OK, I asked, what if we came at 7pm with 7?
"There should be a short wait, but we should have no problem seating you.
We get there just before 7, and have a 15 minute-ish wait and then get seated - at two different tables!
I spoke with the and one of the owners and told them how disappointed we were, explained about the call and what we were told, and she basically said they don't take reservations, and the person answering the phone shouldn't have said there would be no problem accommodating us.
She blamed me for their shortcoming.
I suggested that they may want to consider taking reservations four tables of more than four, but her response was "we don't take reservations."
Well, I told her that I was not satisfied, I said we would sit at the two tables and enjoy ourselves.
Later she came back to the table to apologize, but we were already having fun despite not being together.
So what happens next? I took 45 minutes for us to get our entrees! No apologies, no comments. At this point the restaurant is half empty. The food was generally ok, not great, not bad. Edible.
So we finished up with dessert, and received our bill. They offered nothing to compensate us for the seating snafu or the slow kitchen.
My wife and I have no plans to return, mostly because they really didn't try to satisfy us in ANY way, and their poor customer relations skills.
If you choose to go there, even with so many other dining options available, don't go with...

So, let's dig in: I'll start with my own subjective thing- Family restaurant. Any time I've ever been in a family restaurant, it is a place that is open from 5AM serving breakfast all day, lunch, and dinner when applicable. Breakfast is their focus but their quality is consistent throughout. This place is open at 11:30 and serves lunch and dinner. A good choice for a restaurant, not a family restaurant.
Moving into the food. I had broiled haddock and my brother had corn chowder. Now, I grew up on the coast catching my own fish. I know frozen versus fresh. Fresh haddock meat tears apart like hardboiled egg white in chunks. Frozen shreds apart due to the destroyed quality of freezing. I mentioned this to my server, who claimed it to be fresh. I pressed x to doubt and he doubled down, and told me that I must have really high standards and told me it's fresh. I do not appreciate being lied to.
All in all, I had mediocre quality food for...

Their extensive menu features all-American classics, from mouthwatering meatloaf to flaky fish. The portions are generous, even at lunchtime. My shepherd’s pie was a symphony of flavors, with tender ground beef topped with creamy corn mashed potatoes. The crispy onion rings and melty cheese sticks were equally impressive.
While the food stole the show, the service left room for improvement. Our server was friendly but occasionally inattentive. We hoped to order dessert to go but gave up after waiting an eternity. It’s a minor drawback, but a bit of extra attentiveness would elevate the dining experience.
Despite the service hiccup, the delicious food and cozy atmosphere make Good Thymes worth a visit if you’re in the area. It’s a casual spot with surprisingly good eats, perfect for a satisfying meal with family or friends. Just remember to order dessert at your table if you’re craving a sweet...
