Sand Trap Grill & Pub — Restaurant in Lower Allen

I hate leaving bad reviews. I’m the type of person that tips 20% on a mediocre experience, but last night was inexcusable with only one redeeming quality- an employee named Sam. First of all, make no mistake this is a bar on a golf course, not a restaurant. We should have done more research there, oh well lesson learned. After being greeted by a host at the entrance we were told to sit where we liked. We were noticed by some staff but never approached, had to ask host for help getting service. Sam took drink order and was quick delivering them. From there we didn’t see the same face twice. I had to bother the host again, this time for silverware. One entree was served so early it was finished by the time the second one arrived. Every time I had to ask the host for something there were a number of servers standing and chatting, despite the dining/bar area being very busy. Sam was certainly busy. When he came to the table to ask how the food was I explained that my date just started even though I’d already finished. Sam helped come to settle our bill in a way that we were satisfied with. We left happy and it was only because of him. We will come back but only expecting good service from him. So...

We (a group of four) went to the Sand Trap on Thursday 6/9/2016. We were satisfied with the food and the outside seating in a tent. We enjoyed the singer but...the sound system was much too loud!

I don't understand the necessity to have a sound system which makes it nearly impossible to have a conversation. This is not a concert venue. This is a restaurant. People want to hear the music and have a conversation with their friends.

We live around the corner from the restaurant and would like to have dinner and hear entertainment. We will try it one more time but if the sound system is not lowered, we will...

I pass this place every day, live close by, and stopped tonight because they had a live band which was pretty good. Unfortunately, the service was nonexistent. I waited for almost an hour, enjoyed the music, but the waitresses were awful. Couldn't get a single drink. This place will not survive unless and until they train their waitresses. They were more interested in watching the band than waiting...
