Far too expensive for what it is. The food is bland and is easy to fool people with flavor because of its location. Mexican food has plenty of flavor and this was horribly bland. I ordered steak fajitas, chicken fajitas, fish tacos, chicken empanadas and guacamole. The total came out to 82 bucks and some change, I chose to not get a copy of my receipt.
Guacamole tasted very good and probably my favorite part of the meal. The empanadas were also fine, I am puerto Rican and grew up with empanadas being part of my diet and these were okay, the chicken was flavorless and the cheese inside was majority of the flavor. Came with salsa Verde, sour cream and salsa. To each your own, the salsa verde was okay and I used that for a couple of bites. The fajitas tasted fine, the meat was hardly seasoned so the onions and peppers saved the flavorless meat. The meat was scarce and the onions and peppers were in an abundance. They forgot the tortillas, luckily I had some tortillas in my pantry. Came with a side of rice and refried beans which was so salty. The rice was dry and had corn, and was just a flavorless disappointment, so I gave it flavor using the extra onions and green peppers from the fajitas. My son had the fish tacos and it looked pretty good so we exchanged bites, he also didnt like my steak fajitas and rice and refried beans. He did like the fish tacos and I did too. The Pico was good but again very cheap with the protein. Very disappointing. As I waited for my food the place looked really nice like a typical small Mexican restaurant with nice Mexican decor. Looked really clean too. The was the extent of my experience and I have to say just wasn't too happy. It was my first time eating there and my wife doesn't really go for Mexican and we haven't had Mexican food since we moved out of new york, so she really shocked me she wanted to eat Mexican food. So she googled this place and she suggested it and said hey they have good reviews why not and it also looked good and it's also 8 minutes from my house. She was disappointed and I told her let me find the Mexican restaurant next time. Honestly, I probably wouldn't go there again. I lived in this area for 8 years and I can see why it's a hit for some. Not for me though or the family. We basically spent 82 dollars on alot of sautéed onions and peppers with hardly any meat from either fajita. It was more like a giant bowl of onions and peppers with pieces of chicken or steak because my wife and I had the same experience. It was WAY overpriced for onions and peppers and 3 grams of protein. And LUCKILY I had a fresh pack of tortillas here at home from taco night BUT if I didnt I probably would've been fustrated rather than the feeling of pure disappointment.
So with out insulting the establishment or the owners, even though they weren't honest with our meat/veggie ratio. Which was insulting to the customer paying 22 dollars for fajitas, there is no way the chef saw our meals and let them go out but if they're okay with that then I am too because we just won't come back. I'm not asking for money back or anything ridiculous like that, all I'm asking is to pay attention to the meals being made and before being sent out. Being honest with the customer and saying because you're ordering to pick up or a to-go-order we will give you less protein and more...
Read moreCame here today, since it is Cinco De mayo, we decided to get a drink at the bar while we were waiting. There were 2 seats left at the bar, the girl chased us down and told us we could not get a drink while we wait as the bartender only wanted to serve people staying at the bar and we were ushered back out to the lobby to wait the 40 minutes. They tried to seat us directly at the door, when we asked to be moved to another table, the hostess told us we were seated there because it was Cinco De mayo, however we noticed other empty seats that were more comfortable and still asked to be moved. She then rolled her eyes and begrudgingly moved us. I ordered the seafood fajitas, when it came out, it looked raw. Although this experience ruined the evening. Our waiter was very gracious, attentive, and nice. The manager apologized and he did remove the food and gave me my drink for free. So that was a plus. However, this place will be a one and done for me. We were discriminated agaisnt because we were black. We felt it from the beginning and from reading other reviews, this a pattern at this restaurant. It is such a shame that mexican immigrants have the nerve to discriminate against another race, when they themselves are being discriminated agaisnt. SHAME ON YOU...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow—our waiter took forever to take our order, and when he finally did, he told us that rice and beans were not included with the rib eye tacos, even though the menu clearly stated they were.
When the food arrived, it was a complete letdown. The rib eye taco was just a single slice of steak—not what you’d expect. The rice was cold, and the beans were bland and lacked flavor. Overall, the food did not meet expectations.
To make matters worse, the wait time was ridiculously long, and there was no Wi-Fi in the restaurant. I couldn’t post pictures or even leave a review while I was there due to no internet access.
My friend ordered a pineapple mojito, and she said it tasted like sugar water—no pineapple flavor at all.
What was most frustrating was that neither the waitress nor the restaurant staff seemed the least bit concerned about my dissatisfaction with the food or service. There was no apology, no effort to make things right—just complete indifference.
I will not be back again, and I’ll be advising my friends not to waste their time...
