I’m writing to express my disappointment with the recent changes at Barry Callebaut. This facility used to be a driver-friendly place that respected our time and allowed us to check in early, often assigning doors well ahead of appointment times, which helped us stay on schedule. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Under new management directives, drivers are no longer allowed to check in until exactly [half an hour before] their appointment time. This rigid policy not only wastes our valuable time but also leads to a ripple effect that can severely impact our Hours of Service (HOS) compliance. When we arrive early, hoping to get loaded and back on the road, we're forced to sit idle, burning through precious hours. If we’re late—even by a few minutes—this facility penalizes us by making us sit for hours to get loaded. That also forces us to leave home early to avoid any traffic jam inconvenience and get there on time, adding extra hours to hour driving. The irony is, when we arrive early, they won’t let us check in, but then we’re penalized if we lose time because of their policies. This situation creates a domino effect for drivers. Losing an hour here often means we’re scrambling to make up for that time elsewhere. Sometimes, we are forced to extend our shifts, working more hours than planned, or worse, we run out of driving hours and can’t even make it home to our families on time. This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a violation of our work-life balance and a disregard for the safety guidelines we’re legally bound to follow. The frustrating part is that the loading docks are often empty (attached is a photo validading it), and the loaders are more than willing to load us. Yet, the outdated and unjustified appointment rules stand in the way. To make matters worse, the clerks at the shipping windows consistently have a bad attitude, treating drivers with disrespect and irritation as if we are an inconvenience rather than professionals just trying to do our jobs. This facility’s lack of flexibility and poor treatment of drivers needs to change. We are people with families waiting for us at home, and our time and safety should be respected. These new policies are making an already tough job exponentially harder, and it’s simply unacceptable.

Very good and professional warehouse. Its a huge warehouse. They work by appt but if gou come early they will work on you and get you in. Loading is in a decent time they sealed your trailer buly their own. They have good and clean restroom for chauffers and have vending machines. They also have some spots to park if you come early. No issues getting there. Right off to route 22 and few turns and warehouse is on your left. The front staff is very professional they listen your problem and help to fix it.

Wow I was just in shipping and a young man running the desk was talking about how he lived his job and was very proud. I said bro I’m like six hours early. He got me into a door and here I am very thankful. But then his coworker some lady with purple or blue hair comes in going off!!! I mean every curse word in the book. Best part I got here a 11am my appt was for 8pm I walked in was polite and they had me loaded by3:45pm

Definitely the best customer my company goes to. You can always arrive early and park somewhere in the lot (just stay out of the way of the docks, it's annoying to others trying to get in/out when you park on the curb close to shipping office). Usually they get you loaded early if they can. Every warehouse guy I've met is honest and works hard, hope they get paid well. Out of the dozen or so times I've been here this past year, haven't had any problems I can remember. Product counts always on point too. Haven't had any weight issues, may have to slide 10 holes back depending on product but they know what they're doing. Thankful for this place, it's an oasis in the northeast where parking is scarce and workers are professional and polite here. And quick, too. Usually in and out under 2 hours, even if I show up 2 hours before pickup appointment, don't know about receiving though.

P.S. read that Ignacio guy's other reviews and you'll see a pattern... would disregard his review. I don't ever leave reviews but I felt the need to correct the record here. what do you call a male...

1/2 hr early only told by receptionist for checking in for docks, I was here three hours early, lots of trucks, plenty of room for docking, from what I've seen now for the last 3 hours watching other trucks dock and leave it's a little on the slow side for loading, Now docked they are 1 hr past my appointment time so now even if they get their fingers out of their onions It will be close being out in that sweet spot of 2 hrs so only 3 stars because now finishing up my review I feel them on the back, I can only assume it was the banana brain subaru driver who almost hit me racing back in from lunch. Great job. So I need to update my review, they have overnight parking and that's huge, plus the girls inside have always been nice, I've picked up several times here so as long as your within a hour of your loading time everything goes smooth, it's actually a pretty decent place to pick up, I'm just always Early, I guess that's not a good thing any more. So extra Star, plus they have a food truck...
