Erma Deli & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lower Township

Young lady at counter forgot to check ordered food and toppings associated with items ordered. I had to ask for the sauce for my appetizer, got order home and toppings for salad were missing. Called to complain and this particular young lady stated if you got a dressing for a taco salad, you don’t get the sour cream and salsa. She argued every twist and turn she could!! We were never informed of this policy when ordering; if we had… we would of gladly just taken the sour cream and salsa. SHE was one who offered the dressing in the first place; omitting their policy. Second… sour cream and salsa always comes with a taco salad… the thing bothering me the most??? The attitude I received upon calling with my minor complaint which now is a major complaint! Have been going to Erma Deli for years. Apparently they changed owners and it shows. The person on the phone repeated everything I said and kept getting one thing wrong. I corrected them twice and it was still wrong when I got home and looked through the order. I called to ask for them to correct it, and they said they would deliver a new item or I could pick up and new item in 30 minutes, however, they wanted the messed up item back. Which seemed strange. Either way, I didn't have 30 minutes to wait for one item, so I asked if I could get a credit for a later date. They insisted they would not do that. Which drove me to write this review. Long story short, used to be good now seems over priced, sub par food, and customer service sucks. I stopped in around 245pm for a slice of pizza. This was a huge mistake. The pizza was nearly inedible. It was like chewing on cardboard. I also got a bottle of water, which apparently cost $2. Mind you, not dasani or anything, just a small bottle of walmart branded water. The pizza was so dry that the lady at the counter could not even get 2 slices apart to give me one, and ended up giving me both. That was nice, but after I took a bite, it was obvious the rest was headed for the garbage can. I ate it because I was too hungry not to, and here I am 3 hours later and it's still sitting on my stomach like a rock. I don't want to take away from the good experiences people have here as I'm sure the sit down experience and ordering an actual sandwich is much better, but for take out pizza, I must advise you avoid this place...
