Okay guys this time I cheated, 2 weeks ago we came out here and I realized the err of my ways. I realized I did you guys a great disservice. We had a wonderful time here at Cozumel's of loxley but I did not do a review. What in the world was I thinking? If you were on the fence about Cozumel's of loxley I have some info for you that might change your mind. My wife actually married me under false pretenses LOL. She actually has no appetite for Mexican food however, cozumel's has converted her as well. So between me my brother from another mother and my wife we rotate on places to go and review. 2 weeks ago of course, was my pic and we came here to Cozumel's of loxley. This week we are back and I am going to show you first hand the mouth-watering food that abounds this place. I reasoned with my wife and brother as we were passing by the intersection of 59 and 68 that Cozumel's must be doing something right cuz I have never noticed their parking lot empty on any given day of the week. Take that in for a moment.......... I'm sure the inside dining experience is great but both times we chose to sit outside because we smoke. Ladies first, my wife chose shrimp and vegetables, my brother chose shrimp and steak quesadillas and I chose enchiladas wrapped in flour tortillas. Last time we were here I brought one home and reheated it two days later and the enchilada still tasted great! I double dare you to come down and tease your taste buds or something different and something off the chain here at Cozumel's

The parking lot was full when we pulled up so we knew we were in the right place. The building is what I call false advertisement because its a lot bigger in the inside than it looks on the outside. The atmosphere was nice and they have a bar in the back near the patio seating area outside. I ordered the special lime margarita. Very tasty. The salsa you get with the chips was very good with just the right amount of kick to it (I can't take too much heat). We had the Choriqueso which is queso dip with chorizo sausage in it. It was very good. My husband got the Mucho Grande Burrito and I got the Seafood Enchiladas. We had no idea how big that burrito was going to be. It was huge. It was the length of his arm from wrist to elbow and about the same size too. He was ready to tackle the challenge of finishing it off right then and there. And it came with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeño, cheese and guacamole. My meal was 3 cheese filled enchiladas with shrimp, crabmeat and sauteed vegetables on top with rice. It was soooo good. We have added this to our list and will definitely be going back...soon.

Update: I'm dropping back in to say you can't go wrong with this place! Today, I had a steak taco salad and requested chorizo to be added, and holy smokes, it is the best taco salad I've ever had. The salsa is always great, not too spicy and not too bland. My kids approve! Give this place a shot! Another update" The jalapeño margarita is amazing, and I think they changed their guacamole, or I just had it for the first time - but it is the best around!!!! The birria tacos were just right, I just needed more of the heavenly juice, lol. Food is served quickly, and it is always good. This place has my favorite salsa! Servers are always friendly and prompt. Great spot heading out of the Baldwin County towards I10 on 59, just after Loxley on the right

To start chips tasted weird like they were old cheese had jalepenos in it so the kids couldnt eat it. Ordered chicken wings for one child and they were over cooked with xxtra crispy/hard skin and dry chicken. The Margaritas tasted so nasty we couldnt drink them. One dish out of 4 actually was good, the rest were below average and nothing special just typical mexican food that I have made better at home. Waitress was Great but we had bad service and bad food 2 years ago and wanted to try it again and still no change in opinion of this place. We will never go there again even if they were the only mexican place in baldwin county. For the people who think this place is Great then its all yours. We actually had a Food critic with us that has been all over the southeast and even she said this place was Horrible. However if you are in Loxley go try ElPiasita right on 59. We actually left Cozumel after not finishing our meals and drinks and went there. Food was Awesome, Staff was Great and Fast! The Mango Margarita was the best in the area and the other Margaritas were very balanced with alcohol and taste. Price was better than Cozumel and Food at Piasita blew...
