T & G Burger — Restaurant in Lufkin

Update from a year ago: I went back today to give them another shot. I ordered my burger with mushrooms. Got to work and there were no mushrooms, even though I paid for them. When I called to let the girl know she laughed and asked me if I wanted to place another order. I thought that was really unprofessional. She did not care at all that they had made a mistake. This time... I will NOT be going back. I don't know if the management changed, but it's not great like it was many years ago. These employees just don't care. I'ts really too bad because the food was good today. Fries were hot.

Normally, I have had great experiences at this burger place. Today was quite different. There credit card machine wasn't working, which is nothing major and something that happens with internet sometimes. My major issue was with the food. My fries were cold and not fully cooked and the burger was not quality taste like it use to be. They always tasted fresh and homemade. This one tasted like a processed burger from a fast food restaurant. Normally, I would just personally handle this by calling them, but when I called, they didn't seem to concerned about it, nor did they apologize, which goes a long way for customer service. My family and I were driving through Lufkin and found T&G through a google search for hamburgers. It did not disappoint! The three of us all got a different type of burger, there are many options to choose from. The burgers were fresh, juicy and very tasty. We also ordered onion rings when the hostess recommended them because they are sliced, battered and fried fresh. Ohhh…they were so good…if you like onion rings, get some! The hostess was kind, friendly and so thoughtful when she offered us water for our dog who she knew was traveling with us. T&G’s is a family owned and operated business and I would highly recommend...
