Lunenburg Diner — Restaurant in Lunenburg

Went here multiple times because the food is good and the staff is generally friendly. This particular time, I went with my family, husband and three kids(including a baby in a carseat). We were told we'd need to wait about 15 minutes. No problem. We waited between the doors going in and coming out as the dining room was full. Cold day as well. As we stood there, we noticed that 15 minutes had come and gone and other parties with 4+ people had been seated. When I walked in to ask what was going on, I was greeted by one of the waitstaff with heavier thick glasses and lighter reddish hair who pretends to be "southern" ask me what my problem was. I told her what happened. She said here on the list is says 5 people, I said we have a 4 week old in a carseat.... and she got really really loud and rude and said HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?? I turned around to walk out and she kept going oh okay now you don't want to talk.... I left with my family without eating and went elsewhere.... haven't been back...

We got in right before the rush and we’re seated immediately. The wait staff was f pleasant and kept our coffee filled.

The food was good, but not amazing. There were a few minor issues that caught my attention. For instance, my Hungry Man skillet was decent, but the meat was of a lower quality…like the blend on a Pizza Hut meat livers pizza…precisely cubed ham chunks and mystery sausage. The cheese was a slice or two of “American-Swiss” that was kind of an odd texture.

The homefries were flavorable and cooked well.

The pancake was ok, but a little bitter from the grill scorch.

This is a perfectly good greasy cafe breakfast. Don’t expect a high end brunch and you’ll have a good time.

Coffee is better than average...

Great food great atmosphere, and the service was quick. I enjoyed the lamb & beef gyro omelette filled with plenty of both, along with feta cheese, and tomatoes, and a side of tzaki sauce. I chose hash browns and white toast to accompany my breakfast. There were cloices of baked beans, and home fries. What floored me was the deep friend corn flake French Toast it was absolutely the best French toast I have ever had!!! I have seen this place many times but never stopped in, and since I am home visiting this weekend and was extended an invite im glad I didn't miss out!! Great job Lunenburg diner!!
