Casey’s is exactly what you want in an old-school, small town butcher: fresh selections, prep advice, cuts the way you like/need them, and no styrofoam trays.
There’s no reason for you to shop for meat and other specialty grocery items anywhere else. But don’t look for it to be like a grocery store meat market—they don’t have thousands of everything, sitting around indefinitely. So do yourself a favor for weekends or holidays when you have to have something specific: order ahead for peace of mind, and in respect to what Casey’s does best. The store offers a deli, butcher/meat counter, and the general store items. The line was very long at the time I went in so I didn't buy anything but I did note that the prices are somewhat higher than I expected. The only reason I do not give them 5 stars is because the prices are outrageously high - like at least 4 to 5 times higher than your Jewel Osco or Marianno's.
