Davern's Tavern and Lounge — Restaurant in Lyons Township

Daverns is a very popular bar. The staff is nice and attentive. Because of its popularity sometimes you have to wait a little bit but what can you expect on weekend when you’ve got a big crowd, live music & people enjoying themselves with a feel good atmosphere? The outdoor area is great and live music performs there during the summer months and inside during the colder months. There are bag games to play and if you want to host an adult birthday party or an event in a bar type of atmosphere this is the place to have it. They have a special event area in the back and if you like to play slots, there are some slots located in the front. While I don’t drink we have friends that do and we have been patronizing Daverns for years as our friends and my husbands bands play here . We haven’t really ordered food from here yet so I can’t review the food. I’m just reviewing the service and the atmosphere. They have specials from time to time and just really seem to me that they are all about the customers and running a great bar business. This was my first time here for my uncles birthday party along with the bears game. We were able to reserve the back room which was set up for us before we got there! (I was shocked that this was an option at a pub bar on a bears game day). We were greeted at the door personally by the owner! It was FREE food the entire time (not just for us, everyone) which I have never seen before! The bartenders were super friendly, checked on us more than enough times to make sure we were all having a great time, the owner of the bar was a very nice guy who was present at all times helping out the bartenders and guest! I watched him cater to people, cool the food, clean up after and still managed to check on every person in that bar. I’ve never been to such a welcoming bar in my life. edited after response from bar Just stopped in for a drink and got the worst experience I think I've ever had in a ten minutes,ID' d like I'm 12 lieing the crazy attitude for zero reason upon my first drink ordered. I wanted this to hr my regular place but left after one drink go figure. -Edit was in here for 10 minutes and because I wasn't a regular I definitely felt Un welcomed and got argued with and given attitude after asking if yall had a type of alcohol.
