It took me a long while to right this review but my horrible experience at this establishment and with the owner keeps coming into my thoughts. I came here right before the pandemic started and had a very horrible experience. I decided to treat Me and my young child to breakfast and wanted to try this place because it was one that Iāve never tried yet. I ordered a breakfast for us to share since my little one is too young to need their own whole plate. The pancakes were burnt blackened on top. So I asked if we could please get some pancakes that werenāt so dark as I just went through some very scary pre cancer issues, a minor stroke, and other health issues and donāt like taking any chances, not to mention I donāt like the taste of over cooked/burnt pancakes naturally. So they brought me back another plate exactly the same as before I was still very very polite and explained it was the same and can I please just have some toast instead. The owner man then comes up to me and my child and asked what the problem was I asked if I can have toast instead because I donāt like eating burnt things because Iāve been dealing with cancer issues and other health problems he then gets very agitated and says absolutely not! No Way! You donāt have any Cancer issues! you can go lie to someone else and leave. I was in complete and total shock. I didnāt say a single word. I cried after I got my little one and myself together and left the establishment. I was already feeling horrible because being a single mother with lots of major health issues is soo very hard and scary as it is and to suffer silently with really bad physical symptoms and neurological issues and this man was one of the meanest most ignorant most unempathetic business owners Iāve ever met in my life. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. Not getting a chance to leave a review earlier has been really bothering me. How could you angrily yell at a costumer even more so with a little child sitting there also, calling them a liar and telling them to leave because I asked for toast instead of the pancakes????? Why would someone lie about having Cancer??? That would be soo very weird to lie about???? What is wrong with this guy??? Never felt soo bad leaving a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here and we won't be back. Service seemed okay, until our server began raising her voice at the elderly man sitting a booth away from us. He asked if the price of what he ordered was correct on the check because he thought he saw a different price on the menu. (He misread which is understandable, as the print is small in the menu and he may not have had good sight.) He asked in a polite manner, only to be embarrassed by the server who drew way too much attention to the issue! She was speaking so loudly that it got the attention of another worker who then began watching from the other side of the restaurant by the kitchen. Our waitress showed him the menu and when she went to put it back on the stack of menus, she agitatedly flung it there. When we got our meal we were given the check soon after and before I could finish my pancakes our server started cleaning up the table and took my syrup away without asking. We were there about a half hour and she asked if we wanted a box. Also, the prices here were expensive, and the food is just good to mediocre. $30 for breakfast for 2. Owner was very unfriendly when we paid and didn't make eye contact or ask how our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all, no place with the words "pancake house" on their marquee should have syrup in PACKETS. I go to a lot of different breakfast spots and I have never ever seen that outside of a mcdonalds. Not only did it taste disgusting but it had the consistency of VERY thick honey. I was trying to spread it on my pancakes and tearing them apart before I gave up. (my delightful waitress pointed out that the packets are pandemic-related, so I do understand, but come on, it's time to switch back.)
All of the ingredients in my omelette tasted freezer burned so I can't imagine much in it was fresh. The corned beef was cubed like you'd see ham, which is another first for me.
All in all it feels like a restaurant that's trying to cut corners and save money at the expense of food quality, which to me is always the wrong place to save money. Lots of seniors dining, which to me is...
