El Tequila — Restaurant in Madill

I visited Madill to attend a funeral this afternoon and joined a friend at El Tequila for a late lunch afterward..

This was my first time visiting, and as far as I'm concerned, they knocked things out of the park..

I sampled the Fajitas Jalisco, which included ample portions of grilled steak, chicken, shrimp, onions, and tomatoes.. I omitted the bell peppers..

The fajita plate was served piping hot and had great flavor.. The toppings on the setup plate (lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream) were cool and crisp, and the rice and beans were above average for a small-town Mexican fare establishment..

Their chips and salsa were unexpectedly deelish.. The chips were thin, crispy, and fresh, and the salsa was nicely blended, and with just a smidgen of heat..

I washed everything down with a pair of 1800 Reposado-based margaritas on the rocks, and the service was excellent, too!!

I would definitely return to El Tequila on a future visit to the...

I ordered the shrimp soup 2 sundays ago and it was delicious and exactly what I expected, shrimp soup. Today I ordered the shrimp soup and got the fish soup. They wouldn't correct it but instead argued with me telling me their shrimp soup comes with all the fish plus shrimp. I explained that the first time I had it the dish came with only shrimp. Got told no, shrimp soup comes with all the fish plus shrimp. So why is the fish soup priced higher? So then I asked what the difference is between fish soup and the shrimp soup and they said the fish soup has all the fish except shrimp and the shrimp soup has all the fish plus shrimp. Makes no sense at all and I like my shrimp soup the way they served it the first time, with shrimp only. Horrible customer service. Also prices have significantly increased so I won't be back to pay $15 for soup that tastes disgusting...

First time here we went in got seated but unfortunately waitress didn't seem friendly we waited for almost an hour for 4 plates 1 in my group received his plate then a second 10min after 3 rd plate was wrong so waited again then mine came about 10min after which was supposed to Include chorizo,fajita,chicken,fajita & shrimp no steak one strip of chicken they claim a full breast(Not) and 1 skewer of shrimp you can see from picture you can't see meat & 1 strip of chicken zoom in to picture second picture shows what's left which is a lot of bell pepper onion cactus,rootbeer tasted very weird but didn't want to complain since we have already complained enough since are drinks were wrong as well said Dr pepper & received tea which took a while,asked for check it's been 20min so far. I believe in support local but we won't be back....Looked Like A Good...
