Madtown Chicken N’ Fish — Restaurant in Madison

Went in last week to pick up a order of perch. There was no one behind the cash register but a huge roach, no cashier. Once she came from around the corner she with what I ordered, I told her what im picking up and soon as she gave me the order she reached to hand me a stack of napkins which now had that roach on it. She noticed it shook the roach off the napkin then proceeded to have me the same stick of napkins that had the very well alive roach on it. The food was fire but they have roaches so it’s a win loose kinda thing lol….I’m disappointed, I also went in a couple days ago and figured it was just a fluke considering it’s cold out and yet again I seen another roach on its back soon as I entered the building….the cashier just stared at me wondering why I wasn’t ordering them finally came from around the counter with a broom to sweep the overturned roach into a trash pile. It doesn't allow me to add a 2nd review so I'm just adding on to my old one... CHICKEN GIZZARDS!!! OMG--I ordered them the other day because I was craving them. There is a chain in IL that I grew up with eating them, had some while visiting for Thanksgiving and really wanted more. Theirs will always be #1 for me but yours are a close 2nd and I wasn't expecting that! They were hot and fresh and just really hit the spot. I don't live as close to you as I used to but you can expect to see me as often as possible!! Thank you for the delicious experience!!!

Do not order the cheesesteak. The sandwich was covered in warm, melted mayo, which seeped into the sandwich's crevices and completely overpowered the nearly-imperceptible amount of cheese provided. This, in itself, should be enough to turn you off, but to make matters worse, the peppers did not seem to have touched the grill at all, as they were still cold, and the whole sandwich sits on a bed of LETTUCE, which is simply a stupid idea. Obviously, the lettuce wilted and became lukewarm, because that's what happens when you put a pile of hot, fried meat on top of lettuce. Truly a terribly-designed sandwich. The meal was not worth the money I paid for it, and my guest felt the same about his meal, which was a gizzards and wings combo.
