MR TACO AND TEQUILA BAR 2 — Restaurant in Madisonville

I am not new to this place - I go there pretty often and the first time I went, they made me feel like I was their only customer. Very friendly and efficient staff that make you feel like you’re at home. Not to mention the food is fresh and always so very good. The restaurant is spotless too, by the way! This morning I ordered breakfast tacos and when I got home there wasn’t any tacos, only 2 bags of chips and hot sauce. I called and told them - they wanted me to come back and they would make fresh tacos for me. I live kind of far from there and didn’t really feel like going back. I told them I would call in a little while and come get them (they make breakfast tacos all day - which is another big plus for my family and me…) - 5 minutes later, they called me back and said the owner insisted on bringing them to my house. I told them that was very sweet but I didn’t want them to have to drive all the way out to my house. Mind you, it was 11:30 but this time and they were getting busy for lunch crowd to start. They insisted and i was just delivered not only the breakfast tacos I ordered, they sent 2 extra ones AND a large queso. They kept apologizing and were so very sweet and eager to please. You don’t find customer service like that anywhere these days and it goes a long way with me when you do. We stopped in Madisonville to visit a friend. This restaurant came highly recommended. It did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was fast and hot and delicious. Being from Houston we have many options for Mexican food but this place falls in my top 5. A definite must try if you are in the area. Margaritas are well balanced, not too much sweet and sour mix….really good. I ordered the Extraberry Plate with bacon wrapped shrimp, beef fajitas, and sausage. It was enough for two people (I shared with my aunt.) And Saturday and Sunday they serve breakfast all day which was a win for a couple of people at the table! We ordered a large takeout tonight. We were missing a complete dinner along with different single items in 2 of our other meals. I called the place and they did give us the money back on the one item that was completely missing however 2 out of our other items were missing a piece of the meal. The food was not impressive tonight at all. The tacos were mush and the cheese puff was terrible. We had pleasant experiences before with this place but this one really left a bad taste in our mouth. $120 for food and the food we got was nowhere...
