I usually have a decent experience with Gena’s Pizza but this past Friday I placed an order for Sicilian pizza, six chicken fingers, and 10 barbecue wings. I showed up to pick up my order which I was a little early and I explained that I was in the area. Just took a chance to see if it was ready. Gena informed me that it would be about 15 minutes before my order would be ready so I paid for my order and had a seat in my car. When I came back inside to pick up my order, the pizza was ready. I had to wait on my wings and my chicken fingers. There was a young lady that was working on the chicken and the fingers who seem to be A bit confused as it was a very busy night. However, finally, I was able to get my food and head home. This is when the disappointment happened. I opened up the pizza box and I couldn’t believe that they would serve this pizza. It was totally burnt. I called back to see if I would be able to get another pizza that would be edible or should I say more appetizing? I was informed it would take them two hours for them to make another Sicilian pizza and they would not have time. I was a bit letdown and surprised that they didn’t offer a solution, but continue to ask me what would I like for them to do? There was no apology offered or discount for another day or another pizza for another day, which was very disappointing. So you tell me after you look at the photos of this pizza would you be a satisfied customer ? Would you recommend this place to anyone else based...
Read moreThe wait time was a little extended, BUT that’s okay. Everyone has to understand , that as a business especially in the food industry. People are short staffed, and making food could be time consuming. And that’s anywhere you go. At least, the person making your food is cooking with love, patience, and are working super hard . So everyone should learn how to be patient with them ! Anywho, They have a great variety of different things to pick from. I ordered fried pickles, which I’ve never had. But, I can say it was a tremendous first experience :) Garlic knots were different from other locations, typically they are small but these garlic knots were huge AND tasty . And it’s good to stand out from other businesses. For the pizza we ordered a Sicilian style Magnolia Pizza. The pizza was not too seasoned but I’d say for me that is perfect ! My family did like the wings, I’m not a fan of BBQ but they said they were great . And I believe the owner is who I talked to, she was very open and sweet. Great job on bringing a great great pizza shop to...
Read moreThe roast beef is made in-house, very low and slow. The beef was so juicy and perfectly tender. They place it on a soft and chewy Amoroso roll with spinach, provolone, garlic, oil, and long hots. I love garlic, I can't have enough garlic, and it came out ever so complimentary in this sandwich. Along with the slight heat from the long hot, I was doing the Mark Wiens heavenly eye roll. I was alone in my house, but I was looking around like the food ranger trying to find someone to give a thumbs up to with the patented "ohhh mmmm yummm." All my traveling eater vloggers jokes aside, this sandwich was everything I thought it was going to be and more! For the lunch special, it came with a small side of fries, which were pillowy and soft with a nice crunch, even after my 15-minute drive home.
I hear this spot makes some killer pizzas, garlic knots, wings, and more. I hope to get back there again soon to try more of...
