We were SO excited to visit this place as we've tried some great ramen restaurants in Chicago like Oiistar and Rudy's (and a few mind-blowing ramens in Japan) and we we heard that actually, just outside of city limits, Chicago Ramen is the best. We went on a Sunday night and unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. The restaurant was out of eggs, and out of milk bubble tea. Our server was kind but didn't know what calamari was. We asked what made the calamari "Japanese" calamari and their response was that it was fish. We didn't order the calamari after that. The red miso ramen was way too thick, almost not resembling a soup and more like a sauce. We also tried the chicken ramen and, while the broth was flavorful, it didn't have the creaminess or richness that we come to expect from a good chicken ramen. The chicken karaage was salty and flavorful but the breading was underfried, almost white in color. We will one day try the original location because this feels like a big miss. But we're not as excited as we once were about the "Chicago Ramen" name.

The restaurant’s quite small with a bar and 3 tables which have 2 booths and 1 just have four chairs. There’s a mirror and it’s situated in a way where the bar area and the 3 tables look duplicated so the restaurant at first glance seems bigger than it actually is. The menu had a decent selection. There was all sorts of ramen, chicken, shrimp, beef, vegetable, white miso, red miso, and appetizers, tsukemen, rice bowls, drinks, desserts, and more. I ordered the Beef Ramen Curry which I knew by the name would be good but it was even better than I expected. Not too salty whatsoever and the beef was delicious delicious. Great portion if you’re super hungry as well. Soup was great.

Very excited to have a Chicago Ramen so close to us now! Both a walking and a very short drive distance. Visited on their Grand Opening Day. I was thinking that the portions would become smaller as the restaurant continues to expand, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Of course, I ordered Spicy Tsukemen. Also, a side of Garlic Edamame which came with some pickled ginger. Out of all of the Chicago Ramen locations we've been, this by far has to be the most unique location as it is tiny in true ramen joint fashion, and occupied a classic Park Ridge restaurant. There are also picnic tables outside for dining if you wish.

A new restaurant recently opened near my home, and I went there with great anticipation because I had a wonderful experience at their Des Plaines location. However, this visit was very disappointing. My husband, daughter, and I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 PM. There was no line at the door, but the restaurant was full of diners. After waiting at the entrance for a few minutes, a server came over to greet us. I asked if we could write our names down to wait for a table, but she told us they were very busy and didn’t know how long we would have to wait. She suggested we come back later and then walked away without offering any further assistance or explanation. Her attitude made me feel very unimportant, as if they wanted us to leave quickly rather than serve us. In contrast, the Des Plaines location always has a waitlist and calls customers when it’s their turn. This kind of professional and considerate service was completely absent here. Overall, this experience was very disappointing. The server’s attitude was cold, and I didn’t feel welcome or valued. We ended up leaving and will likely not return to this location. I hope the management pays attention to customer experience and improves their service quality; otherwise, they will lose many potential...

Not sure where to start, but I had the red miso ramen with egg today. It came out way too fast, which is surprisingly impressive. UNTIL I took a bite of the pork. I thought I struck gold when I saw the thick piece of pork. Usually they are thin cuts, but this one was really thick. After my first bite, the pork was literally cold in the center, like it just came out of the fridge. I told the waitress behind me, but rather than coming to my table, her response was "the meat is cold" I was stunned thats her answer. Kind of disappointing. The pork was not bad, just the fact its so cold threw me off. The broth was too thick, too much going on and I can even see pork fats floating around. The egg was overcooked too. The best part was just the noodle.

Had to mention that they using disposable chopsticks, which I personally hate when eating ramen. Additionally, service was a bit lacking as they did not provide spoons until halfway into my ramen. The waitress was on her phone behind me the whole...
