Lengthy but true. I never leave bad or long reviews. Came from Texas for the Anime Convention happening not far away and stayed at the inn. Little pricey but we came to spend money and the food was great, definitely had me craving another burger and my boyfriend their fries. The first time we ate there the service was great, waitress seemed a lil stressed but it was busy so it was understandable so we decided to come back for a second visit before our flight home. Horrible decision. Place was slow and we were assigned to a short lady with black hair tied into a ponytail who seemed oddly in a rush, didn't introduce herself at all (not obligated to but it would have been nice to know who to ask for), and held this demeanor the entire time we were there. I'm a waitress so I get having multiple things to do so we didn't hold it against her too much. When our food came out she dropped a fry or two on the ground and we assured her it was okay before she dipped off before we could request anything else. We had to try and get her attention for some small things like some mayo. When she came back with it she asked how we were doing and without waiting for us to even take a breath she aggressively patted my boyfriend's arm and told him HE needed to clean up the fries she had dropped before walking away. What?????? I've never asked a customer or seen another waitress ask for a guest to clean up a mess. Especially not one made by them? We decided to stay and finish our meal only for her to come back and demand my glass as I was drinking the remaining coke. Immediately started feeling rushed as she continued to rush our meals into to go boxes and our plates as soon as they were empty. The blonde lady at the front was sweet however and did save the visit, she was polite and explained the charges we had questions about, got my boyfriend what he needed. She's the only reason the review got 2 stars instead of 1. We tried to explain to her that we weren't satisfied with our service before the waitress we were assigned came up. Being non-confrontational, we decided to end our visit...
Read more: A Disastrous Dining Experience My recent visit to a Tiffany’s restaurant at 2179 E Touhy Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60018 was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. I, along with my family, embarked on what we hoped would be a delightful dining adventure. Instead, we found ourselves trapped in a vortex of disappointment, where service and food quality plummeted to lowest of low depths. The Service: The staff seemed to have taken a crash course in “How to Alienate Customers 101.” Their demeanor oscillated between indifference and outright disdain. As we entered, our presence was met with an unenthusiastic jester. The Food Fiasco: Our culinary journey began with high hopes, but it swiftly nosedived into the abyss of unenthusiastic flavorless mess. The menu promised of some delights, but what arrived at our table had no flavor no presentation no aroma. The distasteful pasta, under-seasoned chicken sandwich, a pork tenderloin that was covered in a nasty brown gravy which tasted nothing but horrific, they even covered the fries that came with it, I out of curiosity did not take photos, which I definitely should have. Each bite felt like a betrayal of our taste buds. We pretty much left our food uneaten but we paid the full amount and left as soon as we could.
Conclusion: We’re never ever recommending this restaurant to anyone. The lack of concern for paying customers was horrible. They agreed to prepare a dish that was advertised but was meant to be for a different day then they up charged us 25% more without even mentioning it until The end.
I’ve never gone out on a limb and written a bad review for anyone, however, this hopeless experience, I could not withhold myself. All four of us were extremely disappointed and...
Read moreI checked in to the hotel next door and asked for a restaurant recommendation. They recommended restaurants a mile away. Said they did not recommend Tiffany’s across the parking lot. It was late so I thought I would try Tiffany’s. I ordered the strip steak sandwich which came with soup. I took the meal back to my room, my mistake. The French onion soup was a cup of greasy broth with onions. French onion soup always has bread of some sort on top with cheese, usually provolone. The steak was a piece of dried out shoe leather, not fit to eat. I threw the entire meal in the trash after eating some of the soup, which caused me to have diarrhea all night. When I went to pay, they tried to overcharge me. When I argued that the menu price was under $20, the cashier argued with me. I made her check the menu, which showed I was correct. My bill was $20.30. I paid with $100 bill. She kept giving me my change and I kept telling her it was wrong. After the third time, she got out a giant calculator and said she would show me. I pointed out that it was easy, subtract 20 from 100 and you get 80. She continued to argue. I pointed outed out she was counting $10 bills as $20’s. How many other people did they try to cheat by overcharging or giving...
