I've had multiple disappointing experiences at this specific location. This time, I found myself in the drive-thru line, and the wait was excessively long. I was the third car in line and waited patiently for about 15 minutes without any progress. To expedite the process, I decided to place a mobile order while waiting, which I thought would speed things up once I reached the drive-thru speaker. However, I ended up waiting an additional 5 minutes without any improvement, prompting me to abandon the line and head inside to pick up my order.
While I understand that the store may have been busy, what troubled me was the staff's demeanor. They appeared to be more engaged in laughter and playful antics rather than attending to the growing number of orders.
As I observed the drive-thru window, I noticed another 5-minute delay before the car ahead of me received their order. I patiently watched as the baristas prepared approximately 7 or 8 drinks. When I saw one of them pick up oat milk, I assumed my order was next, but to my surprise, they called out a different name.
Frustrated, I inquired about my order, but both baristas seemed indifferent and uninterested in assisting me. When I asked about my order's status, they simply asked for my name and, without checking the order queue, informed me that they didn't have my order. At this point, I was extremely irritated. I had spent nearly 30 minutes attempting to order just two drinks and left empty-handed. Unfortunately, I had to leave immediately due to time constraints, preventing me from addressing this issue with the manager in person. It's disheartening to have experienced such poor service repeatedly.
The management should prioritize providing their staff with basic customer service training. A little bit of friendliness can have a substantial impact on improving the overall...
Read moreThis is a magical Starbucks. I came in for the Happy Hour on this glorious evening, and grabbed my favorite drink, a Java Chip Frap to-go. After driving away, I headed up Route 9, and took a sip. To my dismay, it had no taste! I mean it literally tasted like nothing which was rather strange, because it looked and acted like a Java Chip Frap. For a minute, I thought maybe my taste buds were broken. So, I took another sip, and yet again....no taste whatsoever. This was a true mystery indeed, as the Frap looked like it was straight out of a magazine, frothy, shiny whipped and full of chocolate. "How was this possible?", I asked myself. Myself answered back, and said "shut up, and turn the car around and stop all this dialogue". Alas, I was already on the road, so I had a decision to make; either drink the tasteless Frap like a good american, or drive back and request a new one like a good american. After some internal dialogue, and self-doubt, I drove back. Upon entering, I told the cashier all about my tasteless Frap dilemma, and he quickly brought it to the attention of a manager (I presume). The manager took a close look at the tasteless strange Frap imposter, and he must of decided it was not tasty looking, because he quickly created a new one right before my eyes. What a wonderous sight to behold, Java chips and syrups whirling thru the air, into a belnder and then into a cup. To my utter delight, this one tasted amazing, as it should, it's a magical concoction. So you see, as it turns out my taste buds were not broken after all. Starbucks had made me feel whole once again. Although, I still wonder about that tasteless Frap sometimes, and what dark magic must have been summoned to create such a strange formula. Alas, I...
Read moreThis is not the first time; I just never took the time to review. I frequent Starbucks a lot, my favorite coffee shop but I have to say the one in Manalapan has to be the worst one when it comes to service turn-around time. I was there on Friday 24th. on my way to a Dr. appt. I walk in order a normal black coffee which I received right away. I also ordered a latte which took over 20 mins to get, at the 10 minute mark I asked for a status and a fake smiling associate said they were very busy and I would be served soon [tic toc], so now I am at the 20 minute mark I now complain as people are walking in & out after me with their coffee, and smiley looks at my receipt and looks over to barista list and realizes my order wasn't there, so she literally sneaks over to make it within 30 seconds hands it to me and say's "have a wonderful day" again with that annoying fake smile, no apology for delay or that she was wrong insisting it was on the way, and the latte was terrible [no effort put into making it]. And one last thing, as I am sharing my frustration, she's complementing the barista on how great of a job she is doing [almost mocking me]. I know it's just a cup of coffee, but when I spend $15 for 2 coffees I expect to be served with respect, she was a waste of an employee and should not be serving the public. This review for the Manalapan Shop was long overdue and am sure a lot of...
