Great locally-owned ice cream shop and grill. It's a perfect place for a pick-me-up go to or from "Up North" on 131. Plenty of dessert options with all your standard flavors for soft-serve ice cream. Prices are consistent with most shops like these and the portions are fair for what you pay. There is also a sandwich menu with grilled meats and non-meat options. Parking is a little tricky since you need to enter north of the store and the road is one-way only. Parking is free and it was easy to access. Handicapped accessible, no curbs to navigate. Outdoor seating is available. No inside seating.

Hands down the heart of Mancelona. My Wife are addicted to the fun ideas they come up with. But I'm a basic guy and the vanilla cone is like visiting my childhood. Beautiful small business that should be cherished!

I lived in Mancelona fir 5 years never really ate here already too many people waiting in line. But I started going in and getting ice cream for me and my autistic son Nikolai. On our last visit my son grabbed a dollar jeep duck of their counter.he is autistic and know no difference. The owner chased us out saying that those are not for the taking. I had no clue what he was talking about. He seemed like we both should know what he was talking about. Once I noticed I gave it back and explained that my son is autistic. He was nice the owner but a little short on kindness ,He said one of the teen boys inside that worked there scooping ice-cream saw my son steal their duck. Once he told me how serious they were about this theft I told him the kid is petty for telling on an autistic Lil boy for taking a rubber duck.Right is right and it wasn't ours to take . The owner is right about that. But any real man or real father would see the little boy and let him have the dam duck . Dude your a teenager worried about a 2 dollar rubber duck, grow up. And to the owner,,you could have just simply explained to me my son grabbed your workers toys instead of chasing us down outside and saying "those aren't for taking "!! Other then the workers missing moral decency and kindness. Or the owner not seeing the benefit of giving an handicapped child a rubber duck and making a friend and customer for life. The ice cream is ok and...

Great food. But the service could be friendlier when you call..

edit for owner instead of writing "under new ownership" on each negative review (which is common knowledge to the locals) try being more personal for a better response from potential customers and clients. Even a copy and pasted message saying "hey, sorry about the experience last time you visited this location. However, we are under new ownership so we would love the chance to earn your business now that we have changed some things". But when you write "new ownership " and that's it, it shows your PR isn't the greatest and you don't care about re-gaining the lost customer base due to previous management....

Horrific experience. Went on lunch after digging all morning. Was starving. Ordered the crispy chicken wrap. What a joke. I thought they forgot it when I checked my bag. It was laughable. One dry, heavily peppered chicken nugged with a teaspoon of fine cheddar and literally a pea sized dot of ranch dressing. I asked for my money back. No apology. Mgr lady helped make the transaction. Never looked at me, never looked at the sandwich, she chucked it in the garbage and went back to the kitchen. No apology, nada. The ppl before me got ice cream and banana splits and they were teeny, tiny. ...
