In such a tough economy, it was a real treat (or should have been) to finally go out for a cozy lunch with my husband. When we arrived, the music was very loud, and we were the ONLY customers in the place. I asked twice if they would please lower the volume, but we still couldn't hear ourselves talk, so they just went through the motion of pretending to turn down the volume. The prices were surprisingly much higher than I remembered from a visit few years back. I was so excited about enjoying some lobster (thanks to a birthday coupon that was enclosed in one of my cards). Most of the food was good, but my lobster tail was VERY dry and tasteless. Before we ordered, when asking the price, the young waitress mentioned they had one tail left. When she asked how everything was, I mentioned everything was good except the tail which was very overcooked. When a place adds an automatic 18% tip onto the full price, I am very surprised the owner did not even offer us a cup of coffee or dessert, since not even a glass of water was offered during our meal, the music was blasting, and no one did anything to earn 18%. I didn't want to waste time ordering something else (if that was even offered), but I just feel there should have been much better customer service during a "lunch" that still cost $25.00 even with the $25.00 gift. After all, this is no fancy place, where you are paying for the atmosphere or entertainment, etc. No wonder the...

Read moreMy grandmother used to order from this place constantly when I was growing up in Pine Lake Park. (A suburb in Manchester Township, New Jersey) They always served the food fresh and hot and everything tasted extremely well. Unfortunately, as I got older, I started noticing things. I know seafood comes with a price but this should never happen to somebody. I went here the other day for dinner with my girlfriend and she order two flounder fillets. I asked if I could have a bite since it looked pretty good and she gave me a piece. When I picked it up, there was a parasite inside of the fish moving around. When the owner came over to talk to us, he was not very nice and told my girlfriend, straight to her face, in front of me, that “it happens and you just got the bad fish”. Like, excuse me? I never once heard of a parasite being in a COOKED fish. She got flustered and wanted a full refund of the dish she ordered. All of these “privileged white elderly people” were staring at us the whole time making BOTH of us extremely uncomfortable. Will NEVER order from this place again nor will we ever come back. I’m sorry but if you are a name of a business, be polite and respect the customer. It’s simple. I don’t know why common sense is down the drain these days but it’s sickening to see up front...
