Is seems their hours are constantly changing. I can never tell (without cats in drive thru) whether they're open or not. Sometimes they seem to be open 24 hours. I live a few blocks away and often drive by between 2-4am, leaving with a burger and shake (btw, this location is often "cleaning their ice cream machine".) but I've often had to drive you another McDonald's when they're no answer at the drive thru menu. With all this inconsistency, I've even inquired (during lunchtime) about their hours, being told they're open 24hours. Yet, have driven thru and left hungry and empty handed several times since. It is a smaller McDonald's, so maybe the minimal staff on location some nights is less than the number scheduled to be on shift. As a result, they're unable to serve customers during those hours—I'm not sure, but it sucks for me. Suggestion: there's a Hawthorne location less than a mile east on Hawthorne Blvd, north of Manhattan Beach Blvd, that had more reliable hours of operation (aside from the ice cream machine.) and iF you really have your mind set on fast food late at night, the other McDonald's on Hawthorne Blvd (south a couple miles on SW corner of 190th Street in Torrance) they're is truly 24hours, with option for indoor dining too! Also, if you order Pico Guacamole Artisan Burger, make sure to check your order before leaving; More often than not, they forget to include the lime wedges on the side,...
Read moreI walked in at 6.15am and associate told me to place my order in the kiosk and I was like" what if I want something called "customer service", i want to walk in in the morning, say "Hi" and verbally express what I want, pay and say "Thank you". Associate told me that everything is in the kiosk screen ant someone can help me if I need too. I'm not stupid, I can figure it out on the screen of the kiosk but if I'd want to deal with the screen, I'd place my order from the screen of my device. Can you, please, stop trying to save money on the salary of the person that actually takes orders from the people that walked into the building and provides, what called "customer service". And whoever in your corporate told that it is good idea - it is not. Move that person into MacDonald's down the street and make that person take orders from the people and talk to customer. From now on no more MCD. Only supporting local...
Read moreAs far as McDonald's are concerned, it's like any other. If you never had their vanilla ice cream cone (and you are not lactose intolerant) then you definitely should as it's one of the best things to ever come out of McDonald's! I mean... There is Ronald Mcdonald, happy meal toys and more, but nothing compares to the seemingly simplistic nature of their $1 ice cream cone. And the cone itself... What an engineering marvel. It's perfect! Take a close look at the carefully spaced upper double walls and bottom grid which makes sure the ice cream can melt for quite some time before sogging up the cone. You want me to go on? Well... I won't. I'm done!
O... The reason for the one star deduction on this particular location: you cannot enter the establishment without crossing the drive through lane. It's weird. I guess they did the best they could with such a small building, but its...
