This place is probably my favorite restaurant in town. Growing up southern, we had all sorts of breakfast restaurants so I was worried that moving to KS I wouldn’t be able to find something with that “home cooked by granny on a Saturday morning” feeling. BUT I DID! Every time I come in I’m treated so kindly and all of the staff is courteous and talkative. Today, I went in and got some food and a cinnamon roll. The manager (I believe her name is Amber) walked up to me and mentioned they are trying new rolls and to let her know what I thinks when my food was done she handed it to me personally and even gave me an extra cup of cream cheese icing because she didn’t think the rolls had enough on them. That cinnamon roll with the extra icing was AMAZING. Every time I get their food I am always satisfied and grateful to get food that feels like my childhood. Even my boyfriend who is super picky with breakfast food loves it. You guys have my business for life. Thanks to the waitstaff, management, and cooks for...
Read moreI don’t usually post negative reviews but this is the second encounter that has been negative within 1 week.
On the first, my daughter was asked to leave as soon as she was done eating and not allowed to continue to drink coffee and read her test prep. The manager specifically came out to tell her to leave. It wasn’t busy. Many tables were open.
Four days later, we called ahead to arrange for our party of 20 to be able to sit together and were told that “it doesn’t work that way”.
The attitude towards customers and management practices is why I will not be visiting this place of business in the future.
I know that my refusal to further support this business will not greatly affect their ability to remain open, but I would hope that this review may help you decide where you want to spend your money. Go somewhere that your business is...
Read moreThe quality has really gone down hill over the past few years. I have gotten the salads here for years and they now just serve you bagged lettuce with half a tomato and over cooked chicken. They don't even put any cheese on a salad which is absolutely ridiculous. They raised the price and took ingredients off. I would suggest going to The Chef or any other breakfast place that will actually take the time to make their food worth the money. It seems like they don't care much about giving their customers a decent salad and want to see how little they can give you for a higher price while caring nothing about how it tastes. Definitely won't be returning as it seems like the owners have decided profit over quality is the goal in my opinion. They also charge over $5 for over cooked bacon. It's just a sad money grab for this...
