Mr. K's Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Manhattan

TLDR: Good location for a Sports bar on the west side of town. Some great food, some terrible options. Mediocre Service. Reasonable prices.

Longform: Mr. Ks is a pretty good sports Bar in an excellent location. If you're not looking to drive all the way into town this is a good option, but I can't recommend driving across town for it if you're on the east side, there are better options.

Drink Selection was alright, pretty standard with a good few options for local beers.

Service was mediocre at best, we had gone after a day of Golf and had to flag down the waitress twice to ask for refills on water, and then again to order another set of drinks. On another visit I had to ask about the status of our drinks after a 15 min wait. We haven't had too many issues on subsequent visits, especially if you avoid the servers and just sit at the bar.

Food was hit or miss, the Buffalo Chicken Dip was awesome, and the Paninis are good as well.

Flatbread pizzas are alright, but there smaller than you think.

Their French Onion soup was one of the worst I've ever had, and after a few bites I could no longer stomach it, avoid that.

Atmosphere is cool and it's not absurdly loud. It's not a bad place to bring a date if you're going during...

Set down at a table and waited several minutes before anyone came over to greet us even though help was available, should have taken this sign. Ordered 2 different kinds of soup-both bowls only about half full for approx $5 each and when I took my first bite of my soup the spoon was covered in a thick layer of chocolate under my soup-even though I did not order any chocolate because I am allergic-this could have been very bad for someone with severe allergies! Spoon was already placed in soup bowl prior to being delivered to my table-silverware should always be served on the side! I understand things don't always come out 100% clean of the dishwasher but whoever placed this spoon in this bowl had to notice this-it was literally caked on dark brown, and if they didn't they were not paying any attention to what they were doing! I was so disgusted that I had put a spoon in my mouth that had food on it that had been in someone else's mouth! Other soup noodles were completely burnt as well. Twice since moving to Manhattan in September 2020, I've had a disappointing experience here. First time, I ordered a large 16 oz order of soup. I was charged almost double the price online for two half filled 8 oz cups of soup. The employee told me they had changed their prices but had not updated their website. Today, I tried them again, ordering the "pick 2 + 1 side" from their menu posted online. When I picked up my food, the cost was again more than the online menu had listed. I was told again that the menu had changed and not been updated online. I was even told they could not provide me with a current menu while I was there in the restaurant. The ultimate disappointment was the soggy anemic sandwich they advertise as a panini.
