Mick's All American Pub — Restaurant in Manheim Township

Generally, I've had good experience here. I've been to this location about a dozen times. Each time I went, the food was great, although each time I got a burger it was overdone.

Two visits ago (which was the premiere weekend of Rogue One) my order was mixed up with another man's and it took about thirty minutes to get sorted out. The younger man who was our server ignored us for most of our meal, even after the problem got sorted out. I had to walk over and ask assistance from other staff for drink refills, etc. That's actually a problem I noticed with the staff, is that some are young and somewhat irresponsible.

This place can be busy, but I've never had to wait to be seated, but I've only ever gone in a group of two. The staff is usually good about cleaning and prepping tables quickly. Service is sometimes fast, but I'd call it average in both speed and quality.

It's a very convenient place and I'd recommend eating here if you're up for bar food and/or drinks if you're also going to see a movie. There are a few places nearby on RT 501, such as Knight and Day diner, but I'd only recommend those places over this one if you have a large group of four or more, have kids with you, or don't want to wait more...

We came here after attempting a meal up the road, but the wait had been too long. We were seated quickly, but our waitress took a bit longer. A man came up and asked if we were there for music bingo, which we were not, nor were familiar. Rather than explain, he just said ok and moved on. The volume of this was obscenely loud, to the point where those of us who were the farthest from this man with his microphone and speaker could not hold a conversation due to the high volume.

Then the food came. The crab bisque smelled and tasted like popcorn. The boneless sweet chili wings were inedible. The horseradish for the au jus was inedible (tasted a bit like curry and was a brown color). One in our party ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with chips, and instead received a chicken club wrap with fries. Our server must've been busy, because we didn't see her to tell her, so it was eaten out of hunger. The drinks were weak and not as described.

When we got our bill and had the opportunity to air out displeasure with the meal, the server was wonderful and apologetic. She comped the crab bisque and the incorrect meal. This was the only reason this establishment received 2 stars.

Do yourself a favor and...

Very disappointed. I am a patron of this bar at least two or three times a month. I belong to the loyalty program. On August 30th around 3:30 pm I came in and sat at the bar. There was a bartender working who usually isn't there. I ordered a drink and something to eat. I was not greeted warmly and the bartender did not seem interested in small talk. Granted that it was a Saturday, but it was not that busy. There were probably only about eight people seated around the bar. They were not that many people dining at the tables. I was very surprised. On other occasions, I have been greeted warmly, the bartenders have engaged in small talk, and asked about my family. None of that happened today. I noticed that when other people came in that the bartender knew, they were served faster and greeted warmly which was very different from how I was treated. My check was presented to me with no comment. Other times that I have been there when my check was presented, I was wished a good day and thanked for my patronage. That did not happen today.
