Food is good, but process inside is not, especially when it’s busy, which is all of summer. The pool table needs to go. All it serves is as a place for them to bring out take out our fees and set them on. Otherwise, it takes up a lot of space and people have no where to go while waiting. There needs to be a hostess near the door to take seating reservations and to direct pick up orders where to go. And have a designated place for pickup orders. Otherwise, you have a bunch of people standing around and no order to the chaos. Assertive people jump in front of others. Employees don’t pay any attention to people out there except maybe one and they have no idea of keeping it all straight and flowing.

Remove the pool table and put a hostess at the door. Have some seats for people to wait. If they allowed half stars, I would of given 2.5. And it’s a shame. We really like the food there. But, it shouldn’t be a nightmare to just pick up food and not have to get overlooked and stand around. Especially when you see your order sitting there on the pool table ready to go.

Lastly, I always end up having to call at least 4 or 5 times before I get someone. Sometimes there’s a womens robotic voice about voicemail hasn’t been set up. And other times a robotic guys voice saying something about...

Got parmesan tilapia and fish and chips to eat in and frog legs and broiled walleye to go. My tilapia was thin and nothing special, the coating was more bread than parmesan and the sweet potato fries were just okay. My friend's fish and chips were stone cold in the middle of the fish so we sent back the whole plate with apologies to the server. They remade and brought back just the fish on a small appetizer plate before asking if she wanted them to replace the fries that were also sent back with the first plate. The server then explained that they just got sent a new kind of fish for the chips from their supplier and no matter how they cooked them, the outside was burned before the inside were done so they were going to pull them off the menu. Seems like something they would have tested in house before serving to customers. They did not charge my friend for the fries or her salad so they did at least try to make it up to us. My folks said that the walleye and the frog...

Recently called in an order and they had the wrong name on it, I watched my food sitting there on the counter for 15 to 20 minutes not knowing it as mine! When they finally figured it out, my food was cold so I called the owner and his reply was... What would you like me to do about it!! WOW! So I proceeded to ask for fresh food, he reluctantly said give him a half hour! 20 minutes later he called me and said it would be done in 10 minutes, I replied I was nearly there. As I was walking through the door he called me again and said “my order is ready now and he didn’t want go through this again”... As I got my food he told me I was lying earlier and the food just came out! Bull malarkey it did!! Don’t blame me because your front dining ladies mixed up the names... I even gave him the original order back, with nothing missing! I didn’t even ask for a discount,...

The atmosphere here is ECLECTIC! Lol, they have done an interesting job of decorating the walls with old knick knacks and Celebrities like Marilyn Monroe. The bar area has an old timey decorated barwall and tin ceilings. It all works to make a fun atmosphere. I ordered the Broasted (2) Pork Chops ($14), with red skin potatoes and a garden salad ($2 upgrade). The pork chops looked great, taste wise though they were only a little above average. I needed ketchup to eat it. The salad was very good and redskins were excellent, my favorite thing in fact. The service was excellent. Friendly and quick even though they were packed and hectic. Overall a 3 1/2 star review. Since I need to round, I've decided to go up. This is because they seem really popular and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Would I return? Yes, I would give them a 2nd chance, only I'd get something else!

The service was very good. We had onion rings for an appetizer which were delicious and served hot. My husband loved his prime rib dinner, baked potato and salad. My walleye was a bit dry. The coleslaw was chopped extremely small, not to my taste and the creamy dressing was too sweet and too much of it. The garlic mashed potatoes were topped with a large amount of melted butter. Unnecessary.

Super old-fashioned place that clearly has seen a lot of people and drama and sports excitement. All kinds of memorabilia on the walls. A real classic old time bar with great food. We got the Friday special combo with broasted chicken and fried fish. So much food, two people could share one plate. Instead we made two meals of it. Economical and delicious.
