China Buffet — Restaurant in Manistee

Very unhappy with the options, the temperature of the food, and the quality. As soon as we started putting the first thing or 2 on our plates we immediately regretted the decision. I wished right away that I had looked around before I started making my plate. It's all you can eat so it's not like I could change my mind once I had already started with my plate. Once we all sat down together we realized very quickly all if us felt very uneasy about eating it and were just very annoyed and a bit nervous that what we were eating wasn't fresh. It definitely didn't taste good as we nibbled a few bites and did not want to eat there at all. We got our bill and it was $79 for 2 kids and 2 adults for some food we were disgusted by. Luckily when we went to leave and spoke up they did take some money off. We definitely wished we had looked at the reviews first. Regretted our choice to eat here almost immediately, but we had already started making our plate 🙄 left hungry and grossed out, and out $60...

Love to get me and the wife some china buffet take out. So when u get takeout u pay by the weight of your box or boxes, but we usually each fill a container to take home with our favs mines is the rice orange chicken, sweet n sour chicken veggies the pork yummy. However I also like the ribs they have but they are single bone ribs and if you have eaten ribs you know there isn't much meat on a single bone. But I wanted some ribs so I grabbed two single bone ribs and pulled the bone out of them put the rub meat in my box and left the bones, well a worker saw me do it and gave a mean face and started speaking Chinese to another worker and was motioning what I did. I don't speak Chinese but I imagine they were bitching because I didn't take the bones well I'm paying by weight n those bones are heavy especially for the amount of meat I was getting off then. So sorry not sorry but people eating in house aren't paying for the weight of bones so I'm not either. But check em out...

I've been to a few of these China Buffets in different towns and this is by far the best one. I didn't care for the roast beef because it was fatty and not much flavor but everything else was very good. The food was fresh and a good selection at a reasonable price. Will stop here again when staying at the casino.

Update: I've been here a couple times since the last review. Each time the food was excellent. Other buffets that I go to are hit and miss. The food is always different at the other ones.......sometimes good, sometimes not so good. This place brews their hot tea from loose leaf Jasmine tea. Very good and less expensive than the tea bags everyone else serves. A little has changed since Covid began. They serve you now instead of everyone getting their own food. Everyone is very friendly and there to get you anything you need. The interior does need remodeling but that does not affect the taste...
