Read moreI took my family to this Shoney's to have dinner. We took a look at the buffet and it did not look appetizing to me nor my wife so we decided to order off the menu. Our waiter was very polite and friendly with good customer service. We were looking over the menu and before ordering I had gotten up to take a look at the bar and on my way through the restaurant I was noticing multiple tables with plates that were still close to full of food that had been left and that's when I realized I may have messed up by deciding to have dinner here especially after passing the table with the almost half eaten raw cheese burger. I make my way back to my table and we place our order I got the chicken fried steak, my wife got the turkey club and my kid's ordered the 3 piece chicken strips with fries and the other spaghetti with fries. My chicken fried steak was tiny the gravy was bland and had the consistency of pudding to me it tasted like flour with a hint of pepper they forgot to bring my sour cream and butter and when they finally did bring it to me it was still frozen. My wife's order seemed to be decent so nothing to complain about there my 4 year old got the spaghetti and he took one bite and refused to eat it because it was cold and the noodles dry and had very little meat. My 8 year old said her chicken was tough and hard to bite through and she even stated that to our waiter and they only gave her 2 chicken strips. I may go home and get sick now. I could have gone to the grocery store and gotten a banquet dinner for cheaper and higher quality...
Read moreWhere do I even begin.....we walked in at 11 so we missed the breakfast buffet. No big deal....we can order off the menu. They had 7 open booths and all of them were still dirty with dishes. We sat down at one and got helped, yay. We ordered breakfast and I got the slim Jim omlet that came with hash browns and a biscuit. My husband went to the bathroom and said that he saw our food in the window but our server was rolling silverware. Well, 45 mins later (from when we ordered) our food came. My omlet was ice cold and no biscuit. She said they were out. I sent my omlet back which I never do unless there's a serious issue because I don't want my food to be spit in. I sent it back and when I finally got a new one, there was a black hair in it!!! And my hair is light brown and blonde. And it came back with three times less the amount of hash browns I originally received! We got three pancakes and they were also ice cold and tasted god awful. I'm not a cook and my pancakes I make from scratch are way better. I just asked to be refunded and she still charged me for my OJ. Oh, and my husband asked for no butter in his grits and it came LOADED with butter. Awful service and AWFUL FOOD. First time at a shoneys and it will...
