Bob Evans — Restaurant in Mansfield

It was ok. We used to go to Bob Evens all of the time and then got away from it for a while. We went to the on in Ashland a little more than a week before going to this one, and it was great! They even gave us to-go drinks for all of us. Which was unexpected but appreciated. So when we saw this Bob Evans on the way to some shopping, we stopped. First when they seated us there were a bunch of tables not bussed, so they sat us at the least dirty table next to a guy watching videos on his phone. The lady that seated us went and grabbed a rag and started to bus all of the tables. The waitress then came up to her saying that she didn't have to do that because she could handle it. Which the other lady kind of scoffed about and kept cleaning. The waitress was nice enough. She kept correcting me on everything. When we got our meals I asked if we could get biscuits and she said no. And I asked dont they still come with breakfasts? And she said that they haven't done that in a long time. I was surprised because they did in Ashland. So then I offered to buy them. The whole vibe was off with her. I don't know what was up. At the end I thought that we would get drinks to go and she said no. I brought up that they did this in Ashland and it was so nice. And she said, ahuh, no. Ok then. So we left. It just wasn't as nice of an experience as the one in Ashland....

Let me start out by stating our Waitress was courtious and took good care of us. We are from out of state and heading home after visiting family in Mansfield. When getting ready to leave I went to pay ticket, the cashier, (hostess, manager whatever she is) was on phone taking an order or something. After standing in front of her for 15 to 20 minutes (not exaggeration) and without being acknowledged, I finally tossed enough cash to cover ticket. She still couldn`t put whoever on hold to cash me out?? We of course needed to get on the road with a long drive ahead of us and left. My main regrett is since I couldn't run my card the waitress probably never tipped (getting the change at least for her earned tip). Also her would have been larger too if I could have used my card, since I had to work with what cash I had on me. Food was okay, but as I stated waitress only one earning any real praise that morning. In hind site should have went through McDonald's drive through and not wasted...

Went today for lunch with some friends. Several ordered chicken tenders and every single one of them looked like they were leftovers that were deep fried for a 2nd time in old oil. They were hard and tough. I got the chicken sandwich and it didn't come the way I ordered it and wasn't even hot. I thought about sending it back but we had already been sitting there an hour from the time we walked in the door. I didn't want to wait another 30-45 minutes to get my food. I wasn't the only person who's order was messed up either. There was 1 other one. The restaurant didn't look dirty but whoever is in charge of dishes needs to relearn how to make sure they're clean. 2 sets of silverware and I only found 1 clean fork. I didn't ask anyone else if there's were clean. I also saw a glass with a dirty rim. Our waitress was friendly and I don't have any complaints about her. And my potato soup was delicious. As of right now I'll never go back to this Bob Evans and I won't be recommending...
