How have I lived less than two miles from here and not tried this location once? I don't have an answer for that question. But today I finally got around to grabbing some grub from Sammy's, and man, I shouldn't have put this off as long as I have.

This place is great. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sammich with fresh cut fries and a brownie flurry. Everything was spot on delicious, and the value is really good.

I will start with the sammich. The steak itself was seasoned more than most other restaurants. And the added kick of A1 really made it stand out. I don't get A1 sauce on anything really, but for some reason it really worked here.

My only complaints would be that it could have used a bit more cheese. But other than that, this Philly is a win.

The fresh cut fries were delish. They aren't salted, but they do give you salt packets for them. So I can live with that. I'm gonna try the curly fries next time I think.

The flurry was solid. Good ice cream and the brownie bits weren't so big as to be obtrusive. It was also mixed well. So many times you get a flurry, or blizzard, or concrete mixer and the bottom third is just ice cream. Not here. Brownie bits to the very bottom.

Also, it's a really good value. I spent $18 for my meal. With a large flurry, I feel that price is very reasonable.

All in all, really good first experience. I'll be back, and often.

Edit: Came back the next day for lunch. I ordered the rodeo burger with curly fries and a chocolate malt milkshake. Everything was delish, with one disappointment.

The only disappointment was that they were out of curly fries. So they gave me waffle fries instead. I ordered online and picked up at the drive thru window. So I understand why they substituted my order. Would have appreciated them telling me before I got home though. I would have probably substituted for something other than the waffle fries.

That being said, the waffle fries were fine. Needed salt, but they were fine.

The rodeo burger was delish. The burger could have used a bit more seasoning, but the BBQ sauce and onion rings topping it made up for that. All in all, I'd order it again.

The chocolate malt milkshake was fantastic. It was really thick. Not quite frosty at Wendy's thick, but not far off. And it had a lot of malt flavor to it.

Every bit as good as the ones I get at UDF. And I have always said UDF has my favorite chocolate malt milkshakes.

Also, there was a nice discount added to my order when I ordered online. Love that. It's convenient, easy, and saves me money. What more can you ask for?

I'll be back many many times, I'm sure.

Edit 2: Ordered lunch online today. Footlong coney with slaw and onion rings. I also ordered a Reese's flurry.

Disappointing experience. Got there a couple minutes before my order was scheduled to be ready. I thought I might have a short wait, but no big deal. Went up to the drive thru window and waited 10 minutes without anyone coming to the window.

Parked and walked up to the walk up window. They weren't busy, I was the only one there. And there were two people working. They said the bell didn't ring when I pulled up, but I heard it go off at least four times. Neither of the employees were paying any attention.

So by the time I got home my onion rings were cold and my coney was luke warm. Not a great experience. When adding in the fact they substituted my fries the last time I was there without telling me, I think I'm done coming here for lunch. Food is good, but the service sucks.

Oh, and the footlong hot dogs aren't footlongs....They just give you two regular sized hot dogs. Such a weird...

This place.. when I tell you it’s good it’s GOOD! I tasted the ice cream and bro I literally crave it every night! My husband is tired of making him wake up and take me there. One time when I woke him up we had a fight and we’re on the brink of divorce. Thankfully by the time we got to the shop the owner resolved our issue. The ice cream no doubt made us fall in love again. Definitely brought me back to my teenage young girl age! (Pro Tip: if your having marriage issues visit Sammy instead of the lawyer) I have contemplated keeping pints of the ice cream at home so I don’t spend as much on gas. Sometimes I think about stuffing it into my mouth with my hands! (Hahaha JK.. kinda) The deco for the seasons were probably my favorite part! As soon as my kids saw it they jumped up and down with excitement! I will definitely be visiting the shop solely to take pictures. I can’t believe I didn’t realize this place...

Other times I've been here service was wonderful, food was amazing, and had 1 time had mistake before and they were wonderful and fixed it np while being super personable. Tonight 100% opposite, tried to start by asking what all flavors of boba they had cause they've had different in the past, we got no response besides the board being smacked. Whatever, tried ordering food I've gotten multiple times before I get told they never do it and said their staff who did it every other time was brand new and just wrong even though we've seen the people for over a month now. Take a min to reconsider food, go to order and then 2 $6 items cost $18, when asked about it got told they don't make the prices to deal w/ it. Miss the "brand new workers"...

Gross. A man who appears to be the owner lets what looked like his son eat from the desserts and put his mouth on everything. We watched the child put the nozzle and spray whip cream directly in his mouth. He also put the sprinkle container on his mouth and shook it. The possible owner watched and told him to knock it off but he was clearly not concerned. I want to support small local places but please just keep your kid out of the kitchen.

Food (5/5): we all loved the ice cream and food we got. Two peanut butter milkshakes, Reese's cup milkshake, chocolate ice cream, two blueberry sundaes. Service (5/5): great customer service Atmosphere (1/5): We do not live in this area and felt unsafe in this area when pulling up. We would not come again as a result.
