Amy's Downtown Reservoir — Restaurant in Marathon Township

It's a bar in the middle of a dinky country town that serves burgers and fries. The burgers used to be stellar but new owner has dropped the ball somewhat, maybe new source of meat, dunno. Staff friendly and new interior a vast improvement from what it was: a dirty, scroungy hang out for locals... but the burgers were the best. Last time in (late Sept. ) the cook must've been over-whelmed because everything was over-cooked and sloppily made, didn't finish anything. Then, just as our order arrived they decided to crank the music to its max to where the waitress couldn't even hear us... not pleasant. The regulars are in control so tough luck if you just want to sit, eat and chat...

Me and my Wife went in to try the food because we support local business. We seated ourselves and got water to drink from our waitress. After we ordered our food our appetizers didn't come and we sat and watched a couple of orders come out. The cook was just socializing with the people seated at the bar. What a charming local gem! We landed at Amy's after trying another local bar and leaving. The service was absolutely stellar! We were welcomed warmly, immediately offered menus and were checked on multiple times during our brief (30-45min) visit. I highly recommend both the establishment and the ribeye sandwich.
