After 3 days of travel that included nothing but fast food, car snacks and hotel breakfasts, J&J on Main was our oasis in the dessert. First- the service. The staff and servers are above and beyond! Not just polite, but warm and welcoming to this weary traveler- even though our order was to go! We ordered about an hour before closing, and I sometimes expect quality to suffer when I know the closing time is soon. Not at J&Js! Second- location and atmosphere is great. Quaint small town, plenty of parking and a large spacious restaurant you will not feel crowded into. Lastly- food is amazing!!! We had the Bashful & Dopey burgers, coleslaw, mac&cheese, and the breaded green beans for an appetizer. Even after a drive back to the hotel, the food was great. The mac&cheese is creamy, the coleslaw is the best weâve ever had and the burgers are fresh beef, seasoned and cooked well with no skimping on the toppings! We are stuffed, satisfied and a little jealous that the people of Marceline have such a great restaurant! If you are in the area to go to the museum, do yourself a favor and stop here for lunch or dinner. You wonât be disappointed.
I only have one regret- I was so travel weary, I forgot to tip our wonderful server who went above and beyond in the packing up of the food and making sure everything was correct and that we had utensils and napkins.
Keep up the great food...
Read moreWe were traveling through and got served our dishes (husband and I about) 30 minutes apart. I ordered the ravioli with vodka sauce, it was amazing. But the portion to the cost was unreal. I have had gastric bypass and eat like a bird. I could have eaten it all with no issues. The ravioli with vodkA sauce was so amazing . I took very little bit of my left over that I could eà tren him to my Italian loving son to try it. Like I said before the food was great but not for the price of the portion given. I have had gastric bypass and eat like a bird and could eat the whole thing. A person with a normal stomach would want to go to McDonald's afterwards. Again it tasted amazing!!! Just need to make sure a meel feeds...
Read moreWe visited this place in August of 2024 so I am a little late in my review but when something is this good, you don't forget it. Most, if not all, of the food is named after things related to Disney as this is where Walt Disney's childhood home is. The burger I had was amazing, the service was absolutely wonderful, and I wasn't picked on too much when I didn't watch my step :-). I recommend you getting the onion slivers if you are looking for a good appetizer or even a side to go along with your meal! If you are going to the Walt Disney Museum they have there, make sure to stop here for a meal on your way out, you won't be...
