We gave Baybell a try for dinner. The theme of the restaurant is boating as they are right by the lake. This was their grand opening week. They have a full bar and a decent wine list. The menu has lots of different fish entrees as well as a variety of steak cuts. The lighting was very bright, but they told me they have someone coming to fix that soon. The tritip sandwich I had was dry and had no toppings other than pico de Gallo, so I was a little disappointed, but they have a good variety on their menu, so I will give them another try. They also serve breakfast.

We went early afternoon on a Saturday. We were seated immediately and our server, Tilffany was excellent. Now the food..... I ordered the walleye fish and chips. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong item. I was looking forward to the Mac n cheese but it was terrible. Really no flavor at all. I didnt get it. The coleslaw was okay. The fries are battered and were the same as everywhere. I'm not a fan. The battered walleye was moist inside but the flavor and coating was just okay. Definitely unimpressive. Would we be back? ...probably not.

We frequently drive by this restaurant and have always wanted to try it out. Today, we're glad we did! The fried mushrooms were a standout dish, sliced and fried to perfection with an incredible batter. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly, according to my husband. The sweet chili wings with spicy mayo dip made for a great combination, balancing out the sweetness. The ladies here were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Poor interaction with staff upon arrival. I was ignored by 6 staffers after I came in.

Great initial interaction with the waitress. Awesome personality.

Had to request drink refills each time, even with up to 8 other staff looking at the table and making eye contact with us, and still not assisting. The young lady setting tables had a complete attitude - very dismissive, annoyed, etc.

The food was in a word. ewe. The presentation though, was phenomenal. The flavor however, was absolutely non existent.

French fries were definitely freshly made and not frozen; downsize they were limp and slightly soggy. Onion rings were normal size, crispy, flavorless and got exactly 6 - by comparison, received a 20 ounce bag of fries.

Grouper sandwich was blackened, but had no seasoning on it (I looked) and had zero flavor. The sandwich was also missing it's toppings. The chicken sandwich was rubbery, not seasoned and had no flavor. The flavor came from the tomato, pickles, and condiments.

The fried rice presentation was beautiful. The veggies (onion, carrot, mushroom) were hard enough that a knife had trouble cutting them; even the peas were hard. The rice also had absolutely no flavor. The Kikomen Soy Sauce helped a little - though nothing like it would be if it were seasoned during cooking.

The staff here seemed very pensive and unhappy.

Side note, the entire time we were there, the place had a grand total of 16 customers.

There is a TON of potential here, but it appears to be wasted. Very...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, check this place out. We will be telling everyone we can about Bay Bell. You will NOT be disappointed. The service is impeccable, the food melts in your mouth, and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Once we arrived, we were treated as if we were royalty. Absolutely NO waiting to be seated. The view of the Bay is gorgeous. We had the most outstanding waitress, Nikki. OMGosh, Nikki made our time there fun and exciting. After ordering, the Chef came out and asked how I liked my Porter House. I told him that I like my steak 3 secs then flip 3 secs then serve. He smiled and said beautiful. We didn’t notice how long it took to get the food, because Nikki is a great conversationalist and there were tvs to watch & live entertainment. The songs that he was singing were great. When our food arrived, my steak was finally cooked the way I love it. I mean, WOW!!! The smell was to die for and the taste, even better. As we were leaving, my wife and I met with the owners/managers Rick and Megan. We had to tell them how AWEsome our time there was. Had to let them know about Nikki, the amazing waitress. Rick and Megan are gracious, very friendly, respectful, and kind.

I had the Porter House with Broccoli and Mac N Cheese (Freakn’ Delish’) My wife had the Grilled Chicken with Mashed Potatoes (brown gravy) and Green Beans Our appetizers were Onion Rings and Minstrone Soup. Cheesecake desser is perfection.

This will be worth your time!!! We were visiting from Indiana for our 26th...

Absolutely beautiful and amazing restaurant. I've fished the lake for years and this WAS a go to spot to stop for a bite to eat.

In 2022 they "reimagined" the restaurant into more of an upscale restaurant and fine dining. Not sure if that direction was ideal for the area and the clientele.

Menu online is outdated so prices are significantly higher than what's posted. We had a party of roughly 7 counting the children with us as well. It appears that most food is just priced at around $22-28 per item.. there's no sides to the $28 burger and the sides themselves like onion rings would be an additional $15.

The service and quality of food does not reflect any of this pricing. As a matter of fact the food we did get wasn't cooked correctly or at all and was a raw hamburger..

One of our party members ordered steak that was foul smelling and tasted Sour. The overall meal wasn't enjoyable and wasn't worth reordering to get corrected. They did offer but we declined and chose to leave after paying the bill.

Ultimately for that pricing range I would never expect to have to send not one but almost all of the meals back for being undercooked/not cooked at all. Kinda disappointing from what...
