A Hidden Gem in Southern Oklahoma with Unforgettable Food, History, and Drinks
If you’re in southern Oklahoma, you absolutely have to check out this place. The food is incredible, and the history is fascinating. Housed in an old bank, the restaurant preserves original features like the teller stands, which have been converted into tables. One of these stands bears the scars from a bullet that killed local sheriff Sam C. Long during a robbery attempt. The robbers didn’t get away with it, though—they were killed in their failed attempt. It's a piece of local history you can feel while enjoying your meal.
Now, let’s talk food. The BBQ pit is the hidden gem here. The ribs and brisket are so perfectly smoked and tender that you can eat them with a spoon. If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, the fried chicken wings are massive, the golden, crispy onion rings are to die for, and the crispy double-battered fried pickles? They are next-level, crispy, and absolutely delicious—definitely a must-try. The pickles are served with homemade thick ranch dressing, making them even more irresistible.
And don’t worry if you’re stuck behind a train—just stop by The Vault and quench your thirst. You won’t be disappointed. After all that savory goodness, top off your meal with the most delicious carrot cake, featuring a rich, flavorful maple frosting that’s the perfect sweet ending to your experience.
In addition to the fantastic food, the restaurant offers a large conference room that's perfect for business casual meetings or family gatherings. The rustic, historic vibe of the space makes it a comfortable and unique setting for any event. The employees here are upbeat, friendly, and genuinely happy to make your visit enjoyable.
**If you’re waiting on the train, ask about the drink special, Blood on the Tracks. It’s directly linked to the history of the building and a tasty way to wait out the train!
Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty BBQ feast, a business meeting, or just a snack, this place has it all—amazing food, great drinks, a piece of history, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s one of those spots that’ll have you planning your return before...
Read moreWent to the Vault for the first time last night. My wife and I ordered the chips with white queso, tomatoe soup, and 2 orders of chicken wings (12 wings each).
The chips and queso came out first. The queso was a light red/brown, not white. Did not look very appetizing. It also had a burnt taste. My wife tasted the chips alone and thought they tasted burnt; kind of like they were using old oil.
The tomatoes soup got to the counter at the same time as the chips. It was not served until after we sent the chips back. It was a little cold but I ate it anyway. Overall the taste was good, but to me the soup seemed a little thick.
The last thing we got was the chicken wings. We told the waitress we wanted 2 orders of the wings because we were taking some home. Instead of bringing us 2 full orders she brought us 2 half orders of 6 wings each. We told her we had ordered 2 orders of wing (never mentioned half orders) she said she would bring us 2 more orders of half wings.
Overall the wings were tasty. But I wouldn't call them jumbo like the menu did. The problem with the wings was the cost. The manager had come over to apologize to us about the mistakes and to tell us the chips had been taken off. I asked him to make sure that we only got charged for 2 full orders of wings ($29.88) as opposed to 4 half orders ($37.96).
When the check came we were charged for 4 half orders. The owner had to come out again and correct the bill.
The second order of wings the waitress placed for us had still not been delivered by the time we finished our first batch of wings. We asked them to just put the wings in a to go box. We were told the wings were coming out right then.
10 minutes later we still didn't have our wings. We were told something happened to their ordering computer or printer. After another 10 minutes or so our order finally came out.
I found out during the dinner that this restaurant only opened in November. I can chalk up some of this to working the bugs out, but not all of it. I did like the taste of the wings. To bad my wife said we probably...

Came in last night (saturday) around 8pm and we were the only table in there. I had had a very very very long day and did not want to cook ans I wanted a drink and we have been here before and it wasn't bad so we decided to go again. Came in sat down and no one greeted us for a few minutes. We had to ask for menus. I asked for a drink menu. We ordered our drinks our food and appetizers all at once. We got the appetizers before our drinks and boyfriend had to ask for our drinks. He got his drink. I was still waiting on my margarita. We waited. My boyfriend finished his drink and being tired of waiting for the server to come back by I got up and got his refill myself. Then our food came out. Me still not having a drink. We asked for my drink and thw server went behind the bar and asked one of the cooks to help him make the margarita. This kid couldn't have been old enough to serve alcohol. Still no margarita. So I said scratch that and give me a Pepsi. My meal was halfway finished and I was thirsty. I paid the second I got my drink because I just wanted out of their. Beyond the service being bad the food was nowhere near as good as before. It was super dry and hard to even enjoy.
This is a shame because this place has such a good atmosphere and marietta doesn't have much. Get it together...
