Stumpy's Backyard BBQ — Restaurant in Marion

Unfortunately, we came in around 7:15 and they only had pulled pork and chicken left. We ordered both and they didn't have much of that smoky Bbq flavor. They need more seasoning. The sweet sauce was my preferred. Coleslaw, beans, fries and okra were good. Sad to see that they didn't offer mac n cheese anymore. Kids meals are grilled cheese or chicken tenders with a bag of potato chips. They should offer maybe a bbq slider and give you a choice of side since this is a barbecue restaurant. Tea is almost $4 and there was a $4 common fee?? Menu says prices are cash prices so maybe this was a credit fee. Have no idea what it was and didn't notice till after we left. A MUST TRY in Marion! Our Stumpy’s obsession started with their food truck and we truly believe their BBQ can’t be beat! Their newly opened restaurant is a full experience and a place where you’ll quickly feel right at home. The service and food are both exceptional - portion sizes are large, great menu options and specials, food comes out fast, there are three bottles their BBQ sauces at every table and wet wipes to top it off! The front dining room is very family friendly and the back room has an elevated sports bar feel. There’s also a counter exclusively for carry out which is very convenient. They didn’t leave out a single detail when they brought their restaurant dream to life! Go once and you’ll want to go back 100 times. We can’t recommend...

Stopped in while passing through and found this place on Google maps. Really glad we did. Good was excellent. Extremely clean. Everything was new and fresh even though its a long time restaurant. Clearly they care about cleanliness and standards. Staff was genuinely friendly and kind to everyone. Food is affordable and delicious. We had smoked bologna sandwiches and crinkle fries. Great smoky flavor. 2 choices on our table of BBQ sauces. Fries were perfect. Server and owner checked in on us several times. Even shared history of the BBQ master who is the owner.
