River's Edge Bistro & Brew — Restaurant in Marked Tree

Coming from someone who grew up in Marked Tree and always wished so bad that we had something like this place — I’m so happy to see this place seemingly doing well. I always support local businesses whenever I can, and I am a total coffee snob. With that being said, my expectations are never high when trying new places. However, I was truly shocked at the quality of the lattes here. They are a bit sweet, so ordering 1/2 sweet or with an extra shot is the way to go if you’re more of a true coffee drinker— but never the less, they are very good! I really enjoyed the Arkan-Salted! Also, the place is so cute! I love the atmosphere. If I had to state something to improve upon, the employees could be a little more cheerful. It’s always nice to be greeted with a smile. This cute little coffeeshop/restaurant is tucked in right beside the river and a little gem in Marked Tree. The place overall is small but there is a drive through and the employees are very kind. The espresso isn’t top notch in flavor and the only milk alternative offered is almond, but still a good place to stop if you want a cup of coffee or a latte that isn’t a gas station or McDs. I had a sausage breakfast burrito and it took a few minutes longer in the drive through but well worth it; you could definitely tell it was homemade. No frozen or ready to serve burritos here! First time visiting I bought a chocolate mocha on ice ,and a sausage egg ,and cheese biscuit. The mocha was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The sausage egg ,and cheese biscuit was awesome. Homemade biscuit with real sausage not boxed or precooked. Eggs that covered the entire inside and thick. It had to weigh at least a 1/4 pound. Biscuit was homemade, not burned or hard on the bottom. Over all i was 100% satisfied. The donuts i got the next morning were spot on. Found my new spot for great food. Great service, and...
