Main Crust Co. Pizzeria — Restaurant in Marlborough

Overpriced, sub-par, "skimpy", pizza. Ordered the 16" Mediterranean pizza. Asked to substitute the green peppers for banana peppers and they charged me $2.00! Also asked to add feta cheese, add another $2.00 charge. Okay, I can see an upcharge for additions, but there were only eleven "thumbnail" size pieces of feta on a 16" pie. The pie also came with tomatoes, and kalamata olives. Well, only got 7 slices of plum tomato, and 13 PIECES of olive on the entire 16" pie! Needless to say, never got a bite with feta, tomato, and olive together. In fact, some bites didn't have any. Also, very bland flavor. The Mediterranean is a garlic/oil base, which is fine, but season the oil a bit! Didn't taste any garlic, and maybe add some herbs. Crust around the edge of the pizza was burned. So much so that when I opened the box, all I could smell was the burnt crust. Dough in the main body of the pizza was tough and chewy. Probably frozen dough, but definitely not fresh! Paid $25.00 for this! Drive a few more miles to Keene and get a much better pizza at Athens for less money. This lovely nook was recommended to us by a friend who owns a local print shop. He said.."You won't be disappointed!" We weren't! Courtney, our server, makes delicious cocktails and is friendly and efficient! We tried both of the soups.Theure both homemade and DELICIOUS! The creamy chicken and rice is perfect comfort food! The Hungarian Mushroom was SO GOOD, I ordered a second to go! We shared the roast beef special sandwich. Had great flavor, but I prefer the whole thing warmed through. Personally I think the food tastes cheap and greasy some of it is just bland. The owner is unbelievably rude to his staff and he has been a problem for me each time I go. He alone makes me want to go somewhere else. Never enough parking if you're driving there so the people that live next to this poorly placed restaurant is screwed out of their parking and the owner takes no responsibility about it.
