Barbs Family Diner — Restaurant in Marlow

My sisters and brother-in-law took me to Wright's Diner in Marlow for a good meal after I traveled from Indiana today. Our waitress took our drink order, returned with them and took our food order. While my family and I caught up on each others lives, I anxiously waited for a real southern chicken fried steak. After about 45 minutes, my brother-in-law went up to the register to check on our order. One waitress asked where we were sitting and he pointed to our booth. The waitresses went to check the kitchen for our order (us knowing others that came in after us had already received their meals.) Our waitress never put in our order!!! She started to walk back to our booth and take our order again. We said never mind, we will go somewhere else. Needless to say, my family will NOT be back to this establishment, no matter how good the food is. I was never able to experience for myself, so I will never know. Not good for a waitress to never come check on our booth after our initial drink orders. If so, she would have figured out the problem long before we were...

We were out of town here for a sporting event and decided to try it out for dinner on a Tuesday evening at about 7 pm. There were only 3 of us. It was not busy. It took 48 minutes to get our food. At 30 minutes we ask what the hold up was since others were being served that were here after us. The waitress constantly said just 5 more minutes, again 20 minutes later, just 5 more minutes. After waiting 48 minutes for our food for 3 people (we had french toast, a hamburger and a chicken sandwich with fries, that is all!) our food was barely warm the buns were burned, some of the fries were even cold and stale. Visiting from out of town and so glad we found this place.

The service was extremely friendly and prompt, so good that my drink never got below halfway full! The food was also excellent, very delicious! They have most of the breakfast staples you can think of and they are all top notch quality.

All of our eggs were cooked perfect (over easy where the yolk was still liquid and not broken) and the omlette my friend ordered was fluffy and stuffed to the brim.
