Porky's Smokehouse & Grill — Restaurant in Marshall

I recently visited Porky's Smoke House and was blown away by their catfish filets. They were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I couldn't get enough of them!

The rest of the food at Porky's Smoke House was equally amazing. The BBQ brisket was tender and flavorful, and the sides were all delicious. I especially enjoyed the mac and cheese and the coleslaw.

The staff at Porky's Smoke House were all friendly and welcoming. They made sure I had everything I needed and checked on me often. The service was excellent from start to finish.

The atmosphere at Porky's Smoke House was laid back and comfortable. It's a great place to relax and enjoy some good food with friends or family. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food.

Overall, I highly recommend Porky's Smoke House to anyone looking for some great BBQ and seafood. If you're a fan of catfish filets, you won't be...

My husband and I were here attending the ETBU family weekend. We decided after the game to try the highly rated porkys smokehouse. (Our pulled pork sandwiches were really dry). Maybe we should have had the fish.

I also have a registered support dog that travels with me. He wears a official vest with his registered tag attached to his vest. My dog was laying under my table, as he always does, I think he may have been napping as he is an older dog, and we had been there for awhile when one of the ladies, I’m assuming she was either the owner or manager, came over and said she needed to check his “credentials”: As I was totally ok with that, as my dog is legally registered, my family was not so happy.

I was told it is illegal for them to ask unless my animal is disruptive or acting out. As I said previously, he was asleep under the table at my feet. I don’t think we will visit this...

Based on the great reviews for their fried catfish, we chose that over the BBQ [our primary reason for going there]. We ordered the 2 Pc. & Fries, but they brought 4 pieces on each plate. Why?Because the fillets were very thin and obviously old or frozen. Almost impossible to break apart, the fish was like "mush" and the breading was so tough it was almost impossible to chew. They refused to substitute a small cup of Cole Slaw for the large portion of Fries, so charged an additional $0.75 for the switch. I wouldn't have posted a bad review for the "substitution" issue, but "AWARD Winning" was posted everywhere about the FISH, which was some of the worst we have ever had. Based on our experience, we can't recommend their BBQ either - It's not "AWARD Winning" and might be worse...
