My family and I dined here march 14th 6pm Table of 6 adults . They had decent amount of customers upon entry. They were not âBUSYâ .
My adult daughter tried to order a beer. The server laughed and just said â if we had alcohol, I wouldnât be working â
But yet they show alcoholic drinks on menu
This place is mediocre at best.
Got a table & menus right away. It did take a few minutes for a young man that said he was the server to come get drink Order. He did not write them down and had them all mixed up.
A lady returned with salsa . A tiny bowl for each person. I tried several times to get more salsa . But that was a failure . They do not leave any extra at the table , like other places do.
We ordered Guacamole, queso . Guacamole appears to be made in house. It was tasty, could use a tad bit of salt and more jalapeños.
Entrees include
Shrimp tacos. Fair but delicious, they sauce has just meh, tastes like chipotles blended with sour cream
Al pastor street tacos. - these are good, but needs some sort of sauce to put on top .
Daughter received some sort of chicken breast with onion, bell peppers, tomatoes and a side of rice and beans âŠNOT WHAT SHE ORDERED. But didnât want to complain. PLUS SHE ORDERED NO TOMATOES, & it still had tomatoâs
Playa salad with salmon . This salad was as advertised, however was kinda plain. No seasoning on salmon .
Paradise plate . Was ok. Rice is plain and needs a sauce or salsa .
Taquitos with rice and beans . Tasted like boxed frozen taquitos .
Rice was plain , beans were grainy texture.
Food was mediocre and lukewarm warm .
Hard time getting refill in drinks or chips, never did get more salsa .
Service was lacking !!!
After receiving our food. The staff was more interested in watching the rain and hail come down. There were tornados in the area.
I nor my family will be returning. Itâs a 30 minute drive for us. And there are a lot better options than this one.
The other one in Seymour , 1 in Mansfield, Hartville , 2 in Mtn grove and plenty of other options in Springfield area , that are...
Read moreI gathered that this place had recently opened. The building used to be a burger joint, which is what I was planning for. We were passing through town and remembered that spot from a previous trip. When we pulled up and realized it was a Mexican restaurant we decided to give it a try. There was no one else there. It was around 3 in the afternoon so not a normal meal time.
We were seated immediately. We were treated to the usual chips and salsa appetizer. The choices were the same things available at most Mexican restaurants. I had a chimichanga and my husband had some kind of burrito. I will only speak about mine. It was an average chimichanga. It could have been fried a bit more and the filling could have had more flavor. It wasn't bad but not as good as my local Mexican restaurant. The rice was ok but the refried beans were top notch. I'm not sure what was different about them. They looked like normal beans but they tasted great.
The waitress was very attentive but again, we were the only ones there.
If someone asked me about a place to eat in town I would probably recommend it. I imagine they will continue to get...
Read moreThey advertise on here and on their menu margaritas and such. Order one, off their menu ( pics of different kinds of options in their menu) just to get told they don't serve alcohol. We paid $50 for 2 adults and 1child. We all had water. My plate had 2 enchiladas and my plate was smaller than my child's dinner. I wish I would have taken a picture of the portions of beans and rice I had. Ridiculous. But was charged $15 for less food than my sons 6.49 kid meal. Oh and the gentleman clearly said that the dinner my husband got came smothered in queso. (It's a bed of fries with chicken & steak topped with queso) that's all he ever gets at any Mexican restaurant. Again a small portion & was charged $15 for that dinner but then charged $5 for the queso. What?? The food was decent, but not worth $50 for...
