18TWENTY Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Maryland

Wow!!! I can’t even write a comment about the food or drink because we had an experience we have never experienced in all our years of going out to a bar/restaurant!! Our friends highly recommended this place so we thought we would start with grabbing a drink and light meal or app at the bar.

We sat down at the very relatively small bar. There were four other patrons there eating and drinking. The “Chef” was standing there opening a bottle of red wine , never acknowledged us or even looked our way to say hello. He was busy swirling the bottle and then PUTTING IT UP TO HIS NOSE to smell it several times. He was there for several minutes and then a woman came out, spoke with him and got the patrons another drink and stated something about them being regulars. She also never looked our way, said hello or acknowledged our presence at all!! She also proceeded to go back to the kitchen area I guess. We waited another 5 minutes and then left, total time sitting there about 10-12 minutes. We continued onto Knoxies Table and sat outside and had drinks and cocktails. We commented to our waitress about our terrible experience and she said, OMG she and her husband went there for their anniversary celebration and didn’t enjoy their experience. “ Everyone was so pretentious.”

Tooo bad! The grounds and hotel/ restaurant are beautiful but you don’t win return customers by keeping your nose in the air or not acknowledging them at all, people will remember you and return by how they were treated and how special you made their evening...

A Memorable Valentine's Dinner at 18Twenty Restaurant

We recently enjoyed a delightful Valentine's Day meal at 18Twenty Restaurant at the Kent Island Resort, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The intimate atmosphere was perfect for the occasion, creating a cozy and romantic setting that enhanced our evening.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the beef short ribs and crab cakes. The beef short ribs were incredibly tender, bursting with flavor, and cooked to perfection. The crab cakes, made with fresh, succulent crab meat, were equally impressive and left us wanting more.

To complement our meal, I indulged in a couple of expertly crafted cocktails, which were nothing short of excellent. The attention to detail and the balance of flavors in each drink made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, the combination of delicious food, exceptional drinks, and a warm, intimate ambiance made our Valentine's dinner at 18Twenty Restaurant a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special...

Enjoyed an absolutley outstanding dining experience at the 18Twenty restraunt! The food was prepared to perfection and was very delicious. The presentation for each menu item that arrived at the table was stunning...my compliments to the Chef. The atmosphere here is fantastic and you really enjoy your visit while immersed in so much history and tranquility. The staff were above and beyond and went out of their way to ensure my dining experience was memorable by being friendly and attentative...thank you!
