Delicious food and outstanding service. We had a fantastic server named Bina, and she was terrific in her recommendations and personality. I came with friends who come here often; however, this was my first time. I started with the Maryland crab soup (the "Red" one). It was delicious with a little kick and full of lump crab meat and lots of vegetables. The soup was very filling. Next, my house salad with dressing on the side came. Usually, I'm not too fond of creamy Italian dressing, but this was incredibly good. The restaurant was bustling when we arrived, and the website indicates that reservations are recommended. We called to make a reservation and were told only for 4+ people. I won't downgrade the rating, but you should modify the website to indicate reservations are only taken for 4 or more people! For my main meal, I ordered Shrimp and Crab penne. I asked to have tomatoes instead of sun-dried tomatoes, and it was not a problem to substitute, which is a sign of a great restaurant with a great kitchen and fantastic staff and ownership. One member of our party has to eat gluten-free dishes, and we were told that all of their dishes can be made so that a person who can't eat gluten can still enjoy them. Another party member got the whole Bronzino, a giant and filling fish! The other person got the mussels appetizer, which was so large that it could have been a full meal, and also the half-and-half crab soup, which is half Maryland crab soup with half Cream of Crab soup. I've had it elsewhere, and it is very good, just not what I felt like. The food was so filling that I got a to-go box for half of my main meal. I wasn't originally thinking about dessert, but our server provided the dessert list, and the Chocolate Bomb sounded so good. And it was!! It was a mix of spumoni flavors in a hard chocolate shell with chocolate and cherry sauces on the bottom of the plate. Oh, so good! If you love chocolate, you'll love this dessert.
We couldn't have asked for a better dinner between the amazing food, Bina, our bubbly and super-friendly server, and the restaurant itself. Though I came to this restaurant from a distance, I will most certainly be back. This is a restaurant not to be missed. I highly recommend...
Read moreFirst time going here experience and were expecting something much better after hearing that the food was good. Would give a 1 star based on the Caprese salad and manicotti Florentine, but my husband's spaghetti and meatballs was a solid 3, so that raised the rating. The waitress was okay at first but never brought back my husband's drink after taking his glass for a refill, he had to ask another server for a drink, and she didn't bring the garlic bread that came with our dishes either. The Caprese salad was part of one very sad color and flavorless tomato, and the mozzarella cheese slices were far too thin to make up for the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree of tomatoes The manicotti was dry on top, yes the noodle itself was dry (cracked and also rubbery). The stuffing had one piece of spinach stretched the length of the tube, so technically, it contained spinach, but does that count? The filling was flavorless and dry. I asked for Alfredo instead of marinara sauce, and I think they put about one teaspoon of it on the top of the pasta because it was basically nonexistent. Then, to add insult to injury, the chicken that I added to the meal was hard , yes hard. Hard, one step above jerky, because it was part of a chicken breast that had been sliced lengthwise or pounded out thin, veal parm style. There were 5 strips (yes I counted because how could I not upon seeing it) of petrified chicken on top of the dry and gross manicotti each no more than 3mm wide. Overall our appetizer and my food was awful and his was just scraping by. I seriously doubt if we should ever go back, would rather spend money trying other places that have the potential to be good than have a repeat of that. Also, they do not offer a military discount si be prepared to pay full price military peeps, and will look stunned when you both say that no, you would not like to go boxes for the meals all but uneaten on your plates. Parking is ample, handicapped accessible and the atmosphere is hard booth, family friendly pizzeria style. The desserts in the case look yummy, but we didn't...
