I had the worst experience I've ever had at an ice cream shop last night at Arctic Circle. The girl working at the register, mind you who is almost completely behind glass is screaming at customers in line to wear a mask. Stating not only can you not be served without a mask but you cant even stand in line without a mask (the line formulated outside in a parking lot). This girl never politely asked people to follow the mask requirement but instead was unprofessionally yelling at people. Keep in mind those of us in line were already practicing social distancing and the line was not closely clumped together.
Beyond the worker being extremely unprofessional and yelling at patrons for not wearing a mask, I get to the register and order my icecream just to see the workers putting sprinkles on people's ice creams without gloves on. Time after time, the workers are dipping their bare hands in the sprinkle jar and placing them on peoples ice cream.
This really causes me to raise an eyebrow at the businesses mask policy and this girls deep concern for those not wearing masks. You want people to wear masks to help prevent the spread of germs but yet you are putting your bare hand into a sprinkle jar and then putting those sprinkles on peoples food. This business needs to check themselves, dont be yelling at patrons to wear a mask when you're not practicing good business hygeine yourself. Also, requiring customers to wear a mask does not require your workers to be unprofessional and rude to enforce that requirement. Customers who are there to support your busines should be treated with respect with or...
Read moreI haven’t been here since all of covid started and quite frankly I won’t be returning at all. My husband and I park the car and walk up to the inside portion, I notice a sign on the door that says 3 people maximum. As I peer inside there is well over 12 people inside and for anyone who has been here, you know that 12 people is already overcrowded even despite a pandemic. I wait my turn outside, while letting people leave out of the building. When only 2 people were left I leave my husband to order our ice cream, I wait until after they assist the kids in front of us, and I go to give my order from afar since the kids refused to move away from the front of the register. She asks me if I will be paying cash or card, I say card and she’s like you have to come over here and pay on the card reader. I ask the kids to give me some space, because I’m pregnant and I would prefer to keep my distance, and pay. After I finished paying I stepped outside, as I was leaving I heard the kids and the young girl employee talking trash before I could even walk out the door. I’m glad to know that your concern for your customer’s safety is just gossip for your employees... My advice is to be empathetic of your customer’s safety during a pandemic.. or hire adults since the teenagers take it as a joke.. I would give 0...
Read moreI have gone to the Arctic Circle as far back as I can remember, and never had a bad experience...until now. We showed up at 9:40 pm, not knowing they closed at 10 (if you Google search them it says 10am-12am) and upon arriving, rather then greeting us, as well as the other customers they had, they insisted that they closed in 20 minutes, and we needed to hurry. When I tried to explain that when we googled them, it said they closed at midnight, the server said quite rudely, "We don't even have a website". Thank goodness, the other customer behind me pulled it up on her phone as well, and told him the same thing, that she too was under the impression that they closed at midnight. He then began to argue with her as well, and tried to make his point that they don't have a website. The bottom line is this, the service sucked, as well as the attitudes of all of the employees that were there helping customers. I don't care if they closed at 10 and we were there 10 minutes before they closed, they were still open!! If I do go back, and that's a big if, I hope the atmosphere as well as the attitude of the employees are better then it was this time, because next time, if this happens again, I won't be going back. So...
