I want to share my honest experience so people know how this place treated me. I visited this bar on July 3rd around 10:35 PM. I’m from New Jersey and was visiting my friend ,we discovered this place three weeks ago and the first visit was fine.
This time, we went to the bar and they asked for an ID. I showed them a picture of my driver’s license, but they said they needed the physical card ,fair enough. I told them, ‘Okay, then we’ll be back in 30 minutes with my license.’ They said that was fine.
We went all the way back home(friend place) , got my valid NJ driver’s license, and came back just like we said we would. The lady working at the bar didn’t even bother to look at it properly. In my experience, she immediately said, ‘You guys can’t drink here, you don’t have a valid ID,’ before even checking it. I said, ‘No, we have it — here you go.’ She took my license, tapped it in her hand like she was inspecting it, and said, ‘This doesn’t feel real.’
I asked, ‘Excuse me, what do you mean?’ and she just said, ‘This is not how we start,’ handed my license back, said ‘Thank you,’ and walked away like she didn’t just basically accuse me of using a fake ID and being a fraud in front of everyone.
In my opinion, if you don’t know how to verify an ID, ask your manager. You don’t embarrass people and imply they’re frauds.
Also, to be completely honest, we were the only Asian people there. It really felt like she just didn’t want to serve us maybe that was the reason. That’s how it came across to me.
This whole situation felt rude, unprofessional, and embarrassing. If you can’t train your staff to verify IDs properly and treat paying customers like human beings instead of criminals then you shouldn’t be in business.
This is just my honest experience and opinion. Management really needs to fix this attitude and train their staff better. Don’t accuse people without verifying facts. It’s not okay to humiliate paying customers just because you don’t know how to do your job. Thank you.

I never said I left my ID in New Jersey I said I was visiting from New Jersey and my license was at my friend’s house nearby. I even told you clearly that we would come back with it within 30 minutes, and your team and you said okay didn’t you?
When we came back, we genuinely said, ‘Hey, we’re back,’ and before even checking, your employee immediately said, ‘You guys can’t drink here, you don’t have a valid ID.’ She didn’t even look at my license first.
So let’s be clear that is not an ‘attitude.’ That is me showing my legal license .If you have voice recordings or cameras, please check them they will prove exactly what I said and how I said it.
Honestly, your staff does not have the right to say ‘This doesn’t feel real’ about a valid government-issued ID without verifying it properly. you don’t just accuse someone to their face and embarrass them in front of everyone’
I drove from New Jersey to Maryland how would I be driving without a license? That makes no sense. You said we both look under 25, right? So, do you have a policy of not serving alcohol to anyone under 25? If that’s the case, I’m curious why I was served when I visited three weeks ago.
Anyways I understand you have rules, and I actually followed them. I went back to my friend’s house and came back in 30 minutes Did your employee really think I somehow made a fake license in 30 minutes? That makes no sense at all.
And just to be clear this is not all about refusing a drink. I don’t mind if you refuse to serve me. That’s your business and that’s fine. But at least be respectful. Don’t just assume things or accuse people of fraud in front of everyone. Refuse the drink if you want but do it in a professional and...
Read moreHorrible service always. I bring my family there on a regular because we love the tiki bar and the atmosphere but the waitress and bartenders are always rude. my family was told to leave because I got upset because the bartender completely ignored me while trying to play a keno card. She was rude once I asked her to play it then she slammed my money on the bar and yelled.."I'M NOT DOING NOTHING ".....she charged my card $191 after I told them I would start a tab but I wanted to actually pay cash at the end and it would need to be separated between the guests. She charged my card the full amount without my consent and without even giving me an itemized copy of it. once I asked for the copy I noticed charges on their that weren't mine. she also charged my card before we even received our food order. she recorded me on her phone walking to my car and was very nasty with my family including my kids. I refused to sign the check because she didn't have my consent but overall the bill was paid. I came there on a Sunday afternoon and after that final experience I will probably never come again.the time before that the waitress charged my bank card twice for the tip and my card was never credited the 2nd charge. I come there alot..I have a boat that I bring there and my family enjoys the water....Now I will have to find somewhere else...
Read moreMy experience at Brewer's Landing was the utmost worst dining experience I have ever lived. I waited 20 minutes for a server to finally acknowledge me upon sitting down at my table. And the single reason I was acknowledged was due to me calling her over. She was not my server, but let me know she would send my server over. 10 minutes went by.. still no server. The server then came over and asked "Did anyone come over yet?". I let her know I was still waiting. She then asked me for my order. I ordered an Orange Crush. She then asked me if I'd like to place an order for food because "she didn't know when she would get a chance to come back to take it." I ordered even though I had my hesitations. Whilst my night was being ruined, I watched my server taking smoke breaks, grabbing red bull and drinking it behind the bar, and having lengthy conversations amongst her co-workers. There was no indication that she cared about me. It seemed all other tables were getting waited on, but mine. I will never go back there and do no recommend anyone to waste their time either. You can find the same view at multiple other...
