Worst dining experience of my life. Went there for Mother’s Day dinner with my husband, two adult sons, expectant daughter, son-in-law and baby grandson. We placed our orders and as the waitress walked away I commented, “I hope she remembers everything. She didn’t write anything down.” Food comes out and my son gets a hamburger instead of the crab cake sandwich that he ordered, so we politely ask the waitress to take it back and give him what he ordered. She came back to tell us that the manager said that we still have to pay for the hamburger. We ask to speak to the manager, who proceeds to tell us that we ordered the hamburger, and therefore had to pay for it. We told her we didn’t, and that the waitress obviously remembered it wrong since she didn’t write it down. Then we were told that she did write it down and she went back to the kitchen to get her notepad. So fine, we said, but she didn’t write it down at the table. She must have done that when she got back to the kitchen. My daughter even suggested that they review the security footage to see that she didn’t write it down, and I asked why, on earth, my son would order something he didn’t want just to ask for it to be exchanged and have to wait while the rest of us were eating. I have never, in my life, had a manager at a restaurant suggest that I was lying and refuse to find a way to make things right. After much back and forth, she finally relented and agreed to exchange the burger for the crab cake, but our meal was already ruined. I sat there shaking on the inside while I ate , so upset at having to argue with this young woman at what was supposed to be an enjoyable Mothers Day dining experience. My daughter felt the same. It was anything but! Two of my children have both been servers, and they were appalled at the way we were treated. To add insult to injury, after we had decided to give a reduced tip due to this abysmal treatment, a 20% tip was automatically added to our bill due to the size of our party. By then we had a new waiter, and he told us that the manager could remove the automatic tip, so she came back and, with an incredibly cocky, smug attitude, told us that she would not be doing that because it was written in the menu that parties of six or more are automatically tipped 20%. So we paid and left, but not before pointing out to each other that my other son’s hamburger was severely undercooked, my daughter never got the ginger ale she ordered, my husband’s sandwich had tomatoes on it when he asked that they be omitted, and the macaroni and cheese we asked for without bacon crumbles was delivered with them. So, don’t go there. And Marriott, if you’re reading this, send that manager for customer...
Read moreWe will never be back. Where do I start....well Caitlyn (cream colored fuzzy blouse) told us she "didn't see" our reservation for our party of 8 for 11am. She didn't look anywhere. She didnt glance at a ipad or book. We just told her the name and she responded "nope nothing under that name". Um ok. Strange. I called the person who made the reservation, he told me he would call to talk to her himself. The phone started ringing behind the hostess desk. It kept ringing. She heard it ringing and ignored it. Multiple times. She came out and flatly stated "tables ready its right there" pointed at the table & walked off. No menu. No greeting. No apology for screwing up reservations. We sat down and ordered drinks. My father in law flagged down the waitress & asked her "how it worked". She pointed to a little corner that had two buffet tables in it. She told us that was the buffet. She walked off mid question to help and elderly gentleman & never came back. We walked into the buffet and just saw 3/4 empty trays or bacon, sausage almost gone and powdered eggs almost gone. The potatoes and onions were not cooked. It was just half warm bland potatoes out the freezer. My bf had bread toasted, toaster didn't work then I noticed there was MOLD (green flecks) spores on the white bread. Only thing done right was the made to order omelette station. The omelette chef was very nice. Everything else was either almost gone and cold or inedible (moldy bread). No oatmeal. Just an empty hot plate serving bowl. All of us felt scammed. They lost our reservation and charged up $22 a head for the worst hotel continental breakfast I have ever seen. They even charged full price for my nephew who is obviously not a teenager. We didn't get seated until 11:10 and then was told "you have 5 minutes" to eat before brunch was closed. What. We got rushed through the worst brunch experience ever. It was terrible. There was even a piece of holographic glitter on my nephews waffle. Where is quality control ? We got scammed for $217. Our waitress got her included $30 tip. She could have cared less. She brought out a coffee pot with horrible tasting coffee in it. Doesn't taste like the advertised coffee purveyor at all. She brought out oj twice and that was it. After that she just stood behind the bar Staring at us. Moldy and glitterly bread ain't it. Why quit working before the actual service is over ? I don't think we should have had to pay attention all. . poor service, disgusting food. Very rude hostess. If you don't like the job, get another...
Read moreReally solid place for a hotel restaurant. We started with the korean short rib sliders which were pretty good. The rolls were a little stiff, maybe if they were heated they'd be a little softer, however the taste was great. I had the ribeye and my coworker got the Peruvian steak. My dish tasted great, but the meat was kind of low quality imo. Huge chunks of fat all over it, not the normal marbling. The steak was also kind of thin, almost breakfast style. The taste was great, and asparagus and fingerling potatoes. The chimichurri was the star of the plate though! My coworkers was really good. The 'soggy' fries were phenomenal. The sauce it came with has a bit of heat but the flavor is on point. This dish was the better of the two IMO. We tried the layered cake, but that wasn't worth buying again. Service was really good, our server was always there when we needed her. Over a solid place with some unique eats. Definitely try this place out....
