Little Sandy's helped us wrap up a great camping weekend at Deep Creek Lake State Park. There's nothing like a hearty breakfast served with a smile - thank you, Jamie! It's the kind of place that draws both locals and tourists. Hot coffee, pancakes, omelets, biscuits. I honestly want to go back just for another meal. Beware, it was a gas station at one point and we were wondering if we had the right door because we thought that we were going into someone's house! However, walk through the door. Choose your own table and the rest is history. My omelet was warm, not hot, Jamie took it back and had a new one made, which was hot and cheesy. Jamie apologized a few times, which we really appreciated. The staff at Little Sandy's aims to please and that's what we look for in a restaurant. The lemon juice is in a bottle on the table, so if you want lemon for your water, like my husband, just use what's on the table. He told me that it was actually better than lemon slices because he could make it as lemony as he wanted. What a twist! I can't say enough nice things about this place. Even if you are just passing through... stop here. It's cute, the people are so nice and the food was good.

This restaurant was a converted gas station, and full of locals. Many of the tables had fixed in place chairs (kind of like McDonald's) which I find very uncomfortable, so we sat at the end of a larger table, and the hostess told us that was fine. We ordered coffee and cinnamon buns to start. The buns were warm, squishy, and dripping with icing. Our waitress checked in promptly. I did an omelet and homefries, which were separate, and toast. Hubby did a combo with bacon, eggs, and Pancakes with the home fries on the side. The potatoes were excellent, I could've eaten a lot more. My omelet was chock full of meat, green pepper and onion, could've used a bit more cheese, but very satisfying. The coffee was really good. Hubby said bacon was well cooked, loved the fries and the Pancakes were good.

One of the BEST places to get an excellent, home cooked style meal. Prices are very affordable, and the food is delicious. You will not be disappoined! Small place, you just seat yourself, and the staff will promptly greet you. There was one waitress working both the dining room and to go orders and she held it down fantastically. We will definitely return when we are in the area again! In my photo is pictured a veggie omelette with home fries. The veggie omelette had cheese, green peppers, onions, and tomatoes in it. It was delicious!

I've been eating there for almost 45 years and I have yet to get sick. I happen to think the food is delicious. Jana Leggett, you may just be a spoiled little brat used to 5 star restaurants or possibly just don't know what good country cooking taste like. BTW, I have no connection with the place what-so-ever, after all the years I've been going there after a day of turkey hunting or just camping, I couldn't name a single person who works there. Simply a loyal customer who loves their food. In fact, I just ate there the day before yesterday and had 4 eggs sunny side up, a side of bacon (3 strips, not 2), toast, sausage gravy and biscuits, and yep, the home fries. The only thing I thought could have been better was that the biscuits were a little too dark on the bottom, but NOT burned. Everything else was OUTSTANDINGLY DELICIOUS!!! Lastly, as far as your comment about "Little Sandy truck stops", This review was for the Garrett Hwy, Oakland restaurant, NOT either one of the truck stops, so your comment about them should be dismissed without prejudice. Have a...

Others have described this place well. It's a little roadside diner, with exactly the types of food and the atmosphere you'd expect from a roadside diner. My family of 5 (2 adults, and 3 kids aged 10 to 15) went here for breakfast, and everyone loved it. Every table was taken, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. Our orders were taken quickly, and the food came out quickly, but with no feeling of being rushed. The pancakes (blueberry, chocolate chip, plain, and buckwheat) and french toast were perfect, and the bacon and sausage and home fries were super tasty. The sausage patty was the size of a hamburger and delicious. All of our meals were $10 or less. The best part was the people working here. Super nice, super helpful, super friendly. My wife had coffee with her breakfast, and as we were leaving, the waitress asked her if she wanted another cup to go, and gave it to her at no charge. I can't remember that ever happening at any other restaurant we've been to. My kids all said we need to eat here again. We'll...
