Naval Bagels — Restaurant in Maryland

Ordered country boy bagel on cheese bagel toasted. Waited 15 minutes or more. Bagel not toasted, had to put microwave sausage egg on the bagel because when I opened it the microwave sausage egg was not even on the bagel on 1/2 of it. Not toasted as I requested. Called manager asked was I a regular customer. Then said there eggs and sausage are microwaved that’s how it’s done and have a nice day . Not returning will stick to Uber bagel where it’s not microwaved food. Naval bagels you can do better . Menu says 6.34 for country boy but I was charged 6.84 then .50 for the bagel. Absolutely ridiculous. No where does it say I would be charged 50 cents for the bagel. If I order bagel sandwich it should come with the bagel not charge extra. People check your receipt. Manager said he couldn’t find my receipt. So when I said well go on google and read my post because I posted a picture of my receipt minus my credit card number and I was going to go to the Annapolis location to speak to the manager/owner. Then the manager of this location got defensive and said have a good day and hung up . I called Annapolis location manager was great he could see my receipt where I paid. I was not that big of a fan of my last visit. In my opinion these bagels are overpriced- especially their Navel Bagel because other places sell bagels like it (Nova lox, tomato, cream cheese, onion, capers) for about $3 less than their price. There are similar price comparisons for some of their other bagels as well. In addition to the price, there was also the fact that they are giving you a bagel with like an inch of cream cheese. The cream cheese wasn't even that good to begin with so like I'd rather not have to pay for you to put a block of cream cheese that I'm going to have to scrape off later... Then- a tiny grievance- I would have liked it they put napkins in the bag for you because these bagels are SUPER MESSY. I forgot to grabs napkins and was super disappointed to find none in the bag. Also for first timers the ordering process is kind of confusing because you order on the right and pick up on the left, so good luck with that. Overall this definitely is not my favorite bagel place, but it is nowhere near the worst either; I just didn't give it enough credit in this review.

I used to love coming here. When Uber Bagel opened down the road, I didn't go initially. I live in Millersville, so it's a long drive to get here but that's always been alright.

As of late the service and food has been awful. The clerks are standoffish, and they never get my food quite right. I continue to go because I always hope it'll be better. My girlfriend came in with me today and ordered a bacon and cheese on a toasted plain bagel with a little bit of butter. What we got was dry bacon, completely unmelted cheese, and gigantic globs of butter on a semi-toasted bagel. For what we're paying, that's not acceptable. I'm going to continue...
